View Full Version : Rules Q&A Liches, Rats and Humans oh my!

Inevitability

I recently read about Silus the Rat Lich (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?55087-And-You-Are-All-Trapped-Like-What-%28BBEG%29). Its maker mentioned that the build was technically illegal by RAW, as it required a magical beast to take the lich template.

However, would it be possible to say that, long ago, a druid assumed animal form and... propagated with a rat, whose children then took the Human Heritage feat? It seems possible: after all, the mates of polymorphed dragons will still give birth to half-dragon children.

So, what does the playground say? Does this work by RAW? Would you allow this?

Got an even easier option than that, a human who was baleful polymorphed which was made perm.
Horrible idea for a player though!

Doesn't work, polymorph changes type.

The Druid option could conceivably work, though. Human Heritage is kind of silly like that.
