I hardly ever want them to play, but the occasional cat vine that I do want to see doesn't load either.
I'm running Windows 7, Firefox 35.0.1 (although it's been going on for several versions of Firefox now).
I have the following plugins:
Java Platform SE 8 U31 11.31.2.13
OpenH264 Video Codec 1.1
Shockwave Flash Player 16.0.0.296
Unity Player 4.5.1.22018
Quicktime Plugin 7.7.6.0
Silverlight Plugin 5.1.30514.0
I did try loading Firefox in safe mode, and I tried changing media.windows-media-foundation.enabled to false like I've seen suggested online. It didn't work.
Any ideas?
Edit: Well, never mind. Turns out that switching media.windows-media-foundation.enabled back to true fixed it. Which is weird, because that was the fix for a similar problem a few versions back. I guess they finally fixed the old problem, which made the old fix a new problem.
