Ok, so my friend made a tainted character for a gladiator campaign that is really strong. I am wondering if there is anyway for the rest of us to beat him. His build is this:
Sorcerer (MM Specialist)/Tainted Scholar/Incantatrix/Unseen Seer (he is level 10)
A feat that makes killing him a pain:
Mark of Nessus (Asmodeus)
Race: Hellbred.

Can anyone help me figure out a way to beat him?

What is his spell list? How much prep time do you have? What are the rules of the duel? How many of you are there?

as it stands I would say no. he has two prestige classes that break the game. Tainted Scholar and Incantatrix. I would assume that he has Impossibly high Save DC's. A disgusting amount of spells per day. He can persist a number of those spells to buff himself up. The only thing I can think of would be to pool your groups WBL and buy a higher level caster to just cast MordDisjunction and throw anti-maigc field monks at him.

Mark of Nessus (Asmodeus)
Race: Hellbred.

Hellbred are not devils, and cannot take Brand of the Nine Hells (prerequisite for Mark of Nessus).

Not always true, note:
Nondevils can gain this feat, and the feats that require it as a prerequisite, by performing a particularly useful act for an archduke of Hell. This option is unavailable to player characters (unless a DM rules otherwise).

Ah, the classic "it happened in my backstory" maneuver.

Ah, the classic "it happened in my backstory" maneuver.
So the maneuver used to get half of the "special" requirements cleared out? And its less that and more the "DM said its ok" maneuver.

Given the inclusion of Tainted Scholar in a game that's clearly not on that optimization level, I'm not 100% sure that the player ran the build by his DM...

True. Then again, it could also be of a "I want you to bring your most powerful game" type deal.

he doesn't quite have enough in those classes to fully do as you said right now. but he will.

i suggest building a similarly high op character. how about twice betrayer of shar?

Call down Atropus on him.

Release Pandorym at him.

Say "Pazuzu Pazuzu Pazuzu" and use your wishes to defeat him.

this may sound stupid but if the player is as powerful as you say and is a clever player this will have to be done.

Call down Atropus on him.

Release Pandorym at him.

Say "Pazuzu Pazuzu Pazuzu" and use your wishes to defeat him.

Make a Faustian Pact and break the game.

Iron Heart Surge the character.

Discover your Spell Component Pouch has a Sphere of Annihilation inside of it.

Crush him with infinite chickens.

Warblade. Get Antimagic field on you somehow, Iron Heart Surge away the Mark of Nessus ability, He's only level 10, so (I think) the only spell he'll have that can pass through the AMF would be Wall of Force. If you go with some Tiger Claw stances you should be able to jump over that if you need to.

Reciprocal gyre, from Complete Arcane, is a wonderful spell against magical buffs. The SC version is ridiculously dumb. It nerfs it to irrelevancy.
