Is there any good way to use this class? It grants a feat that the class can not use by itself, it grants an increase in natural weapon damage, which once again isn't a theme for it. And it gives you like 6 spells, none of which are that great. I like the fluff, the claw ability and the slay mortal but i can not get this to work how i want.

The wording of Mortal Skin seems like it might bypass the HD limitations of Polymorph. ("At 8th level, any mortal form can be adopted.") If it does, that's pretty strong/cheese-able.

Otherwise, yeah, it gives some passable abilities, but nothing stands out as worth spending 10 levels on it.

I was thinking that about mortal skin. However, that is not why i took the class (i might remember that later though, turn into a demon and become a demon lord might work that way).

Or, you know, turn into a Great Wyrm Force Dragon (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/dragonEpic.htm#forceDragon) at ECL 13. Or the Tarrasque (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/tarrasque.htm) (though you wouldn't get the invulnerability goodies, since they're special qualities). Or pick up Assume Supernatural Ability, turn into a Genus Loci (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/geniusLoci.htm), and cast the epic spell Enslave (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/spells/enslave.htm) 1/round as a free action. Or do the same with a Gibbering Orb (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/epic/monsters/gibberingOrb.htm)'s eye rays.

Uncapped Polymorph is a scary thing.

Remember that it's not based on polymorph, it's based on the 3.0 precursor polymorph self. For whatever that's worth, anyway. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe the class has a 3.5 update.)

My understanding was that for spells that were explicitly replaced with a new spell via the update (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20030718a) (i.e., Polymorph is called out as the new version of Polymorph Self), you were supposed to assume that references to the old version get treated as references to the new version. I may be wrong on that, though.

I'd just like to point out that you can get a bit more varied use out of the class by using the Kiss of the Grave (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fey/20030411a) poison to make immortal creatures valid targets.

well that is interesting, especially with a drow warlock able to use poison through eldritch blast.
