Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had done a compendium of nonstandard bonus types (i.e. the uncommon ones like alchemical, luck, profance, sacred etc.) to AC, rolls and such?

If not, it's an endeavor I'd like to volunteer for.

I'd like to create two tables: one sorted by bonus type, the other sorted by what the bopnus applies to (saves, AC, attack rolls etc.).

Any thoughst? Has this already been done?

Cheers - T

I have not seen a list such as that.

If you put one together you would be a hero to the people; like Lenin or Superman.

Or Cave Johnson.

that would be interesting actually. Same with a damage type one, is there one of those?

d20srd has a list of modifier types, but it only lists the ones used in core. The four you mentioned are there.

Sorry, maybe the title/OP is misleading, but I mean individual bonuses that are of the less common types (i.e. not the more common ones like enhancement etc.).

Spells that provide a luck bonus to saves, items that provide a sacred bonus to an ability score etc.

Competence bonuses to ability scores are rare, but the Chameleon prestige class (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20041210b&page=1) gets them.

Enhancement bonuses to skills are rare, but the Chameleon (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/chameleon.htm) psionic power (or the corresponding psychoactive skin (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/items/universalItems.htm#skinoftheChameleon)) grants it.

Huh, I never noticed before that two of the sources of nonstandard bonuses have the same name.

I know Spell Compendium has the Visage of the Deity line of spells, which grant either sacred or profane bonuses to several statess.

Also, I believe the artificer class has either a class feature or infusion that can change an item's bonus to another type, which leads to silly things like a luck bonus to Dex or a dodge bonus to Int.

I guess exalted and vile bonuses are even rarer than sacred and profane ones.

Does a sacred bonus stack with a profane bonus? I've always wondered.

Took me forever to find them again but the work has already been done for attack rolls, at least - though the tables are completely broken, of course:

Different bonus types, so yes.

Juts moved house, and spare time is sparse on this, but I do intend to get back to it eventually.

Thanks, for the links.

I think some drugs from other books also give alchemical bonuses to various things. IIRC, there's a drug that gives alchemical bonuses to ability scores... for a short duration, and with really nasty side effects afterwards.

Complete Adventurer has several items that give an Alchemical bonus to skill checks, saves and ability checks, starting on p.118
