Threads Not Marking As Read

Certain threads have not been marking as read for me after reading them. I don't know what's causing it, but I know the Simple Q&A thread was saying Lord Silvanos was the last post for some time even though others had posted in the interim, and was refusing to mark as read until left alone for a duration and then posted in.
