Suggestion for a combat caster

I currently play in a pathfinder game as a spellcaster who has 5 levels of arcanist, 5 levels of ioun master from d and d wiki, 4 levels of ioun angel from d20pfsrd, and 2 levels of chronomancer which is a prestige class made by the dm. I have the blade adept archetype for arcanist. I use most of my spells to buff up my combat abilities and frontline. I am looking for a prestige class designed for casters who like to wield weapons and frontline without losing too many caster levels. the dm allows all pathfinder, d and d 3.5, some 3.0, and most 3rd party material. any suggestions would be welcomed.

Eldritch Knight is a pathfinder prestige class for casters who use weapons if i remember correctly
