Not sure what you mean, but I've heard that Incantatrix is fun for using item familiars. That's about all I can tell you, though.

Take an enchanted weapon. Spend an additional 1000xp(or cp) and 1 day to make it into a Weapon Familiar. Apply the changes described on p 131 of RoE.

The weapon becomes a sentient weapon that works like a wizard's familiar. It gives you a skill bonus based on the type of weapon it is, can speak common, has darkvision, and gets additional abilities along the lines of familiars such as Alertness, based on your level.

Its a neat way to get a sentient item, but the cost is steep. You're giving up the ability to scavenge xp from magic items into your craft pool.

Note: it also has nothing to do with the similarly named Item Familiar.
