View Full Version : What template should I add to this character?

OK, so I'm making a character who is a martial class of some sort. He was brought back from the brink of death by a wizard and ended up with a template as a result, and now wants revenge on said wizard for giving him said template.

Does anyone know what kind of templates a rather nasty or clumsy wizard could give a near-dead dude?

If you're not to concerned about the rules, Feral is ridiculous.

If we're not so much *near* as after death, Dread Warrior (any version) makes sense.

Mineral Warrior (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20031003e), especially considering the spell that grants it enslaves the target to the caster for a year. Either he's resentful of that year of servitude, or the wizard released him from it but the magic that binds his will is still in place and it's driven him mad.

Half-golem could do the trick, too.

The pathfinder Young template!

He's pissed cause the wizard brought him back as an adolescent.

Gheden is kinda a weak template, but it fits the theme pretty well. He's angry he came back as basically a half-zombie.

That's awesome.

Hey, that works. I was thinking more "I was directly infused with arcane energy, made me more powerful but also debilitated me" but that works.

^ Sadly, this is 3.5.

If something was 3.0 and wasn't explicitly updated to 3.5, it's considered 3.5 material.

Curst? Maybe the character's whole family got killed by the wizard, but he is now unable to join them in the afterlife. Maybe the character is in constant pain thanks to a device/spell the wizard placed on him. Maybe the character simply hates undead and would rather be dead than become what he hates most.
