Light-based monsters?

[Inevitability]

I am going to have a section of a dungeon be light-themed. Think luminescent crystals, reflecting walls and maybe even mirror-like surfaces joining light into laser beams. I am, however, lost on what monsters to put here.

The only thing I could think of were Will-O'-Wisps, but I'm sure there's more out there.

I'd prefer to keep the CR below six.

Mercury Dragon... maybe. Just not sure it is flavorful enough.
Mirror Mephit seems nice, as long as my players don't bribe it and abuse its abilities. :smalltongue:
Gem Scarabs... Again, lacking flavor. Maybe once I find some nice Light cantrips.

They have an alternate form like most eladrin, an incorporeal ball of light.
Plus they can cast dancing lights and faerie fire as spell-like abilities at will.

I second the inclusion of the Lumi.

We once were playing a plane-hopping sort of game and my character was a Nerra pirate (he had replaced the real captain with himself as the illusion) who had leadership with a Lumi cleric cohort. Lots of fun, especially since my DM had everyone roll secretly for a phobia unique to each character and my cohort (he made me roll for him too) got nyctophobia (fear of the dark). What fun.
