hey guys, this is my first shot at a PrC so I hope i did ok. C&C is welcome.

The Glade Sentries are an ancient order, one that only acts during the most dire of hours. When the Druids of a given area are stretched thin, these forest warriors appear out of the wood work, fiercely fighting with Spear and spell, their most holy of weapons to defend the woodlands. Many of these guardians give up their livelihoods to move from their homes, to take up defense of the homes of Druids when they adventurew out beyond their woods.

These soldiers of the Druidic Order vary in rarity, depending entirely on which Druids have taken up residence in a given area. There can be as many as over a dozen in a given forest, or none at all. These warriors don't advertise their position, even more secretive than their patrons.

The ranks of the Glade Sentries are made up almost entirely of Rangers and Druids, but occasionally a Fighter or Barbarian will end up in the Order.

Requirements:
To qualify to become a Glade Sentry, you must fulfill all the following criteria.
Skills: Knowledge: Nature 9 ranks, Survival 9 ranks
Special: Must suffer significant injury or other loss in selfless defense of the forest; this act must be impressive enough for a Druidic circle to choose to offer you the position. Only a Druid who is also a member of the order can bring a character into the fold.

I'm not sure bonuses to skill checks are worth giving up base ranger abilities. They certainly aren’t worth giving up druid abilities.

I'd probably just give them Wild Sense: +1 bonus on spot, listen, search, and +2 on track ect for each level in Glade Sentry.

Then Come up with some new abilities for 2-4th level. Maybe move One with the forest down and come up with a new top ability as well.

Maybe the ability to charm monster on wild animals at will?

I think 8 Ranks in Knowledge (Nature) and Survival should be enough, so that Characters can enter this Class at Level Six.

Wild Sense Mastery should probably be called Greater Wild Sense for the sake of consistancy.

Weapon Focus and Specialisation are probably not good choices for a Prestige Class that runs Level 7-11, when the former is available at Level 1. Not sure what to do about that really.

I put it in as flavor, seeing as they use spears almost entirely.
