Thog=Lennie???

This will sound a bit odd at first as I haven't completely thought this throgh... but if anyone's read 'Of Mice and Men' then Thog seems to be very (ish) similar to Lennie... Does anyone else see this connection? And if so... is there maybe somebody who would be a good match for George? I just think that it would be interesting to take a look at this... even if there isn't an actual link in the first place...
