Any questions? Oh. You want to know what makes up a specific weapon? Well too bad! I could tell you that it has an appropriate cost derived from the magical modifications, a base weapon, special abilities, enhancement bonuses, a caster level, a possible ego score, a legend, and some glowy particle effects suited to the poster, but that would be telling. Nope, no useful information here.

If you want to give permission and/or request a legendary weapon, please write a post linking itself.

Snowbluff, Legendary Weapon (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=18852421&postcount=20)
Empty Binder
Originally used by the swordsman Snowbluff to keep notes on the flaws of all creatures, the internet and laptops proved to be far more useful for this purpose. Left by the roadside, a homeless man used it to defend himself from kobold marauders by creating a daylight spell effect. Having been so saved, the man attached a handle to it and used it as a meat cleaver to gain great fame.

Requirements: Any character can wield Empty Binder as a masterwork straightblade (Planar Handbook p69) and also gain the benefit of the exploit special ability. A battle scion who wields the Empty Binder gains additional special abilities if the character fulfills the following criteria.

Base Attack Bonus: +8.

Skills: Knowledge (any three) 4 ranks.

Feats: Improved Initiative, Knowledge Devotion.

Attributes: Empty Binder has the following attributes.

Hardness/Hitpoints: 0/1.

Caster Level: 10th.

Value: To any character other than a battle scion who meets the above requirements, Empty Binder appears to be worth as much as a Medium masterwork straightblade that grants the exploit special ability (market price 55,307 gp). To anyone who has not witnessed its exploit ability it appears to be worth as much as a Medium masterwork straightblade (market price 307 gp).

Special Abilities: Empty Binder provides a number of special abilities to its wielder, depending on the character’s class level in the battle scion prestige class (see the table below).

Initial Abilities: When first acquired, Empty Binder functions as a masterwork straightblade . Anyone who wields it, whether a battle scion or not, also benefits from the exploit ability.

Exploit (Su): The wielder of Empty Binder can exploit any one weakness a creature possesses (kobold's light sensitivity, vampire's holy symbol vulnerability) a number of times per day equal to their Int modifier. This creates an appropriate effect to take advantage of the weakness, and lasts for five rounds. The effect created cannot harm any creatures; if it would harm any, it immediately fails. If the creature has no weaknesses that would not result in damage or death, this ability cannot be used on them and is wasted.

Knowledge of the Books (Ex): All knowledge skills are added to the battle scion's class skill list.

Knowledge of all Flaws (Ex): A battle scion wielding Empty Binder gains a bonus on knowledge checks when using Knowledge Devotion or to learn of a creature's weaknesses. This bonus is +2 at first level, and increases by 2 at every even class level, to a maximum of +12 at 10th level.

Quick Draw (Su): Once per round, a battle scion of 3rd level or higher can draw Empty Binder as a free action and treat their opponent as flat-footed for their first attack in their turn. They can also sheathe Empty Binder as a free action immediately following this attack if they choose.

From Sheathe to Foe (Ex): A battle scion of 5th level or higher wielding Empty Binder deals an additional 3d6 points of damage per strike to their target upon a successful hit in any round they use quick draw. (but not lightning draw) This damage is neither weapon damage nor precision damage and does not ignore damage reduction. At 9th level this damage increases to 6d6.

Lightning Draw (Su): A battle scion of 7th level or higher can draw Empty Binder as an immediate action and strike an opponent with it once per turn. Enemies are flat-footed against this attack, and this ability can be used even during an opponent's turn or against successfully tumbling targets. Using this ability counts as using quick draw for the round it is performed.

It has one hp because it is made of some flimsy material, not quite sure what exactly. Doesn't really matter though, legendary weapons can't be damaged except if the other person has one too.

Ok heres my attempt at Red Fel (i may return later to improve this)

Red Fury

Red Fury was wielded by the legendary bard Red Fel. It was said that Red Fel was so Evil, so Convincing, and so much Fun to be around that Orcus gave him a permanent invite to hang out in the Abyss and that Asmodeous once loaned him the Ruby Rod. Alas, all Evil things must end and Red Fel met his. No one knows how he died, but many Binders know that he is now a Vestige, but his followers are sure he could leave if he just asked the universe nicely.

Red Fury is a unique +1 Cursespewing Harmonizing Enervating Greater Dislocator Keen Rapier, that, when wielded by someone with an Evil Alignment, activates a permanent magic circle against good, centered on Red Fury. This can be suppressed as a free action (mental). If wielded by a person of Good Alignment, Red Fury automatically hits them for a critical hit the first time they roll to attack with it. It will do so again 1d4 rounds later if they continue to wield Red Fury. If a person of Neutral Alignment wields Red Fury it is just a +1 Cursespewing Harmonizing Enervating Greater Dislocator Keen Rapier.

I see Red Fel as an Evil Bard, who would much prefer to Diplomance you to his side instead of beat you into it. However i know he is terrifying when crossed (just look at some of his suggestions when he's in a good mood :smalleek:) so a weapon based on him should be just a horrifying. Also, favoring his subtle side, this weapon works well for those who use it tactically. Smack the goody goody and poof him out of your circle, now hes stuck out there.

Like what? Paper? Computer chips? alien tech crystals? Either way, I guess this works.

Mind if I do my own take on Red Fel?

Red Fel, the Blade of Persuasion is an invisible +1 returning dagger. Against a creature unaware of the weapon you may make an attack with it as part of a Diplomacy check performed as a full round action or one a round if it is performed as a longer action, a DC 10 Sleight of Hand check allows you to disguise these attacks as simply exuberant gesticulation. When used as part of a Diplomacy check the Blade of Persuasion deals no damage, and cannot be felt by the target, but instead grants you a competence bonus to your Diplomacy check against any struck creature equal to 5 + 1/2 your Base Attack Bonus.

When wielding the Blade of Persuasion you gain a +5 bonus to feint checks against creatures unable to see or detect invisible creatures and objects.

Well, like all Legacy Weapons that have the penalties, they are extremely not worth it for anyone who would want it. -6 to hit and Reflex, alongside losing 12 HP? For a fancy weapon, no thanks.

And, also in keeping with Legacy Weapons, pretty solid if you drop the penalties.

Aside from this complaint, it's just right.

So apparently I was a bad ass knight before I went on a quest for the art of the sword, then learned casting and sought knowledge. The Bow of Unbreaking Loyalty

This +2 holy composite longbow seems to be made from strangely flexible adamantine, although testing would reveal that its hardness is more than on par with the material it seems to be (hardness 40, hp 150). In addition to its magically reinforced hardness this bow always functions as a mighty composite bow at the wielder's Strength bonus. Finally if the wielder has the ability to Smite Evil they may use it with a ranged attack through the bow and any Evil aligned creature struck must make a Fortitude save (DC 17) or die, this is a death effect unless used against Undead and functions normally against undead.

Oh yes, do I have to say who this is, or is it obvious enough?

Red Fel

Not one, but two? Crikey O'Reilly!

Of course, I would get the first +1 Keen Rapier of the thread. That's fair, I suppose I deserved that.

So let's see what this bad boy can do. +1 Rapier, not bad. Cursespewing (+1), so it causes a debuff when it hits, nice. Harmonizing (+1), so it gives a bonus on Perform (singing) checks and extends Bardic Music. Enervating (+3), so on a crit it also deals negative levels. Nice. Great Dislocator (+4), because violently planeshifting someone is fun for the whole family. And Keen (+1), because double crit range. So, that's a total of +11 in bonuses... Did you give me an epic weapon by mistake? Because that would be awesome.

And the neato bonus for Evil users is just the icing on the naughty cake. Much thanks.

Psybomb's Corrective Aid

The great sage Psybomb used this heavy ash staff to correct the errors of his pupils in memorable fashion. A gently tap was sufficient to make them pause and reflect on their errors and mistake. This +1 merciful quarterstaff increases the DC of the user's stunning fist ability by 2. If the wielder has the gently touch ability, he may treat the essence capacity of that ability as 1 higher.

Psybomb has been a huge part of the akashic mysteries playtests. I think everyone involved has had to stare blankly at a wall of damage sims a few times, so nonlethal stunning worked out.

Actually, I want this to be a real weapon in the product release!

If someone posts the full WoL table format, I might go crazy and expand it to that.

Also, Permission for Keledrath (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/member.php?21712-Keledrath)

Energy Fist of Kelderath

This unique warforged component was prized by its creator not just for its power, but for its versatility. This +5 battlefist can be morphed as a free action to any other melee weapon and maintain that form indefinitely. Additionally, the magic properties can be altered with a 1-hour ritual, exchanging up to +4 worth of enhancements for enchantments of equivalent value. Properties that do not apply to the weapons current form lay dormant until a valid form is assumed.

I know you like your warforged and have that homebrew class you've been wanting to try out, figured I'd mash them together.

For Blackhawk:

Mr Aochev
"Mr Aochev, tear down this wall!"
Mr Aochev is a +5 adamantine pickaxe. It ignores the hardness, magical defenses and damage reduction of any walls, and deals five times the normal damage to them. If wielded by a bard, it deals ten times the normal damage instead.

For Sayt:

Sayt's Terraformer
"You fight a war to change the world, and it changes into a world with no place in it for you, the fighter. Those who fight for the bright future are not always, by nature, well fitted to live in it."
Sayt's Terraformer is a +5 Flaming burst heavy crossbow. Whenever you hit with Sayt's Terraformer, if you hit someone standing on a natural surface, you turn the area you just hit, and that within 1d6*5 feet of it, into some inhospitable area. Roll 1d20:

1-10No effect11Area is frozen over with ice.12Area is subject to strong winds (if it wasn't under a greater wind effect already)13Area is set ablaze even if it's not flammable.14Area is covered in Webs (CL 20)15Area is covered in thorny bushes.16Area turns to mud as transmute rock to mud even if it's not made of mud.17Area turns to water that goes down 30 feet.18Area is subject to Reverse Gravity (CL 20)19Area is beset by an Earthquake (CL 20)20Area turns to lava.

The spells last as long as the description. Ice and lava alike will melt given time, the fire will burn one round if there is nothing to burn, or as long as a mundane fire might burn (minimum one round) if there is. The thorny bushes will quickly wither and die if the area cannot sustain them, and can be hacked apart or burned easily enough. Water is simply water.

The Stack (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=18850666&postcount=9)ed Deck

This +1 keen falchion bears a playing card motif, with its cross guard displaying the four suites commonly found on card decks and its pommel carved in the shape of a six sided die. For some reason, an etching of a small bear is found near the base of the blade. Unlike normal keen weapons, the expanded threat range of this weapon stacks with the improved critical feat. Whenever the wielder scores a critical hit with The Stacked Deck, its enhancement bonus becomes +5 for that attack and they may apply the effects of one critical feat (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/critical-feats) of their choice to the target, even if the wielder does not have the critical feat in question.

Okay. Here's my first attempt. If I feel so inspired, I may pull another. Elric (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=18855757&postcount=57), this one's for you.

Nonlegacy Game Statistics: +1 Longsword
Omen: When Altovilla is held, the wielder's mind is suddenly assaulted with visions of a thousand glorious victories in battle.

History (DC 15) Many warriors have gone by the name Elric. It's a fairly popular name. One such Elric, however, became renowned, not for his own victories, but for his ability to lead others to victory. He was a trainer of warriors, humble but highly capable. Though he taught many students, great and small, strong and weak, wealthy and poor, he used a single weapon to train them. Like many warriors, he did not name this weapon; he believed that giving a name to your weapon was something only twits did. (DC 20; Giving Aid to the Weak) Elric started as a tutor of fencing. He had a natural gift for the art of weapons, and readily shared it with students. He expanded from swords, to axes, to flails and whips, but the grip and blade of a well-made sword, including his own humble blade, was always his favorite. His reputation grew by leaps and bounds, as more students flocked to him, to learn from the master. (DC 25; Shutting Down His Magic) It would not be long before Elric earned the ire of other warriors. Mostly, this was due to his reputation as a capable warrior. He was challenged to many duels over his lifetime, and his rules were simple: No magic. He believed in the power of the sword, but he was a realist when it came to the power of magic; the latter could warp reality, while the former could only warp flesh. And for the most part, his opponents honored that request. One exception, however, would prove his undoing. A haughty Duskblade was determined to prove himself superior to the swordsman Elric. Yet at every turn of their duel, Elric thwarted his thrusts, laughed at his lunges, and repelled his ripostes. Furious, the Duskblade violated the taboo, charging his blade with lightning and driving it into Elric's outstretched arm. The swordsman screamed with pain as the magic did its work, forever ruining his sword arm and ending his dueling career. The Duskblade, publicly shamed for his acts, was never heard from again. (DC 30; The Teacher at His Podium) Now unable to duel, Elric retired from the public eye. Instead, he began to draft his memoirs, feeling for one brief moment that the world should know of his life before he passed. As he put pen to parchment, he realized how absurd a notion this was - he wasn't dying, just injured! And so he resolved to teach once more, but this time, with the pen, rather than the sword. He began to pen a treatise on the art of combat. When his text was finished, he looked upon it with satisfaction, only to realize that while the text was complete, the work never would be. And so, with a combination of satisfaction and determination, he set pen to parchment once more, this time to ensure that future students of the art of combat would be equipped with all possible knowledge.

Legacy Rituals
These rituals are required to unlock all the abilities of Altovilla, the Blade of Elric: Giving Aid to the Weak: Elric was a teacher, and Altovilla will never accept a wielder who cannot teach. What is teaching? Teaching is the act of taking one who is lacking, and helping them to grow. You must find someone who is lacking in some way, or facing some obstacle, and teach them sufficiently that they can overcome it without aid. The specifics are between you and your DM. Possessing the Mentor feat automatically qualifies you for this, although you still have to pay the legacy cost. Cost: 3,200 gp. Feat Granted: Least Legacy (Altovilla, the Blade of Elric). Shutting Down His Magic: You must succeed where Elric failed. You must challenge an opponent to single combat. This opponent must be a difficult challenge for you (insert broken CR numbers here). You may not use spells or consumable magic items, but you may use magic arms and equipment, as well as Altovilla; your opponent may use anything he wishes. You need not win, but you must survive. Cost: 13,500 gp. Feat Granted: Lesser Legacy (Altovilla, the Blade of Elric). The Teacher at His Podium: You must share your knowledge on a wider scale. You must either publish a treatise on martial combat, or present your findings to a convention or symposium on the subject. If producing a written text, you must dedicate 8 hours daily to the writing for 1d4+1 weeks; if presenting to a symposium, you must dedicate one full week to presenting to and meeting with the guests and other panelists. Cost: 39,000 gp. Feat Granted: Greater Legacy (Altovilla, the Blade of Elric).

Legacy Item Abilities
All of the following are legacy item abilities of Altovilla, the Blade of Elric. At 5th level, upon unlocking its Least Legacy, Altovilla becomes a +1 Aptitude Longsword. At 7th level, Altovilla's bonus increases to +2. At 9th level, Altovilla gains the Defending quality. At 11th level, upon unlocking its Lesser Legacy, Altovilla gains the Spell Storing quality. At 13th level, Altovilla's bonus increases to +3. At 15th level, Altovilla gains the Eager quality. At 17th level, upon unlocking its Greater Legacy, Altovilla's bonus increases to +4, and it gains the Spellstrike quality. At 20th level, Altovilla's bonus increases to +5, and it gains the Smoking quality.

Altovilla, the Blade of Elric, is a dueling weapon. So it won't make you fly and teleport and other magical stuff. I added Spell Storing, because Magus, so it's possible for a magic-user to make good use of the blade. Other than that, it's combat-designed - Aptitude to adjust feats, Eager for initiative, Defending for emergency AC, Smoking for miss chance, and Spellstrike for saves. Capable but defensive.

And yes, by the end, it is an epic weapon, having exceeded the +10 modifier limit. (+5 enhancement, +1 Aptitude, +1 Defending, +1 Spell Storing, +2 Eager, +1 Spellstrike, +1 Smoking, = +12. That's what makes it desirable as a Legacy weapon - at level 17, it is a +4 Aptitude Defending Spell Storing Eager Spellstrike Longsword, a total of +10, the threshold of epic weapons. Three levels later, it crosses that threshold. Bam.

Weapon Property - Elric's Lethal Recovery

Whenever a weapon bearing this property is used to reduce a foe to 0 or fewer HP, the wielder may recover a single expended maneuver as a free action, even when not his turn. This property upgrades Elric's Sanguine Recovery

Cost: +2+3 bonus

First, we needed some properties around here. Second, maneuver use is a given since the subject is a writer for PoW:E. Not sure on the costing, seems strong for a +1, not sure if +2 is too much.

ed - well, there goes Red Fel making me look bad. Sheesh!

Ed 2: Elric's Sanguine Recovery

Bam.

That is... a thing of beauty. Really, it brought tears to my eyes. I would love to get my hands on a legacy weapon like this in a real game. Bravo!

Weapon Property - Elric's lethal recovery

Whenever a weapon bearing this property is used to reduce a foe to 0 or fewer HP, the wielder may recover a single expended maneuver as a free action, even when not his turn.

Cost: +2 bonus

First, we needed some properties around here. Second, maneuver use is a given since the subject is a writer for PoW:E. Not sure on the costing, seems strong for a +1, not sure if +2 is too much.

ed - well, there goes Red Fel making me look bad. Sheesh!

Woohoo! I got doubled. Fortunately this is a lot more useable than a Legacy Weapon. I'm glad it works even if its not on your turn, makes it great for AoO builds and Seize the Opportunity. It might need to be a +3 bonus actually, since its the equivalent to a feat at the end of a 3 feat chain (Eternal Guardian Endurance).

True, I was forgetting that victorious recovery was once/encounter. A lesser version that works once/encounter for +1, then a greater for +3? Yeah, that sounds good.

Writing a bunch of material for a highly visible playtest on the boards does make it easier for others to come up with material for you.

Technically you now have been tripled, having a legacy weapon and two (related) weapon properties. Other posters are going to get jealous, better assume circular stance.

scarlet throne level 1 stance makes you immune to flanking. IE, Watch your back

Thats it, making a bard who hates walls :smalltongue: Also my new theme is breaking stuff, and im ok with this.

Bit of trivia, I'm wanting an easy way for my Wizard to transform anything to Sand, so they'll always have access to the stuff. Additionally, in the middle of attempting to pump up Caster Level to absurd levels, I took a fancy to Sandshaper (for Sand Shaping) and Elf Paragon (+2 Intelligence).

Loses 3 levels of progression, but has flavour as well as powah.

Actually lemme start a couple of threads about the characters I'm building so y'all can see some high quality Rudisplorking.

Inspiration has struck!

Zerging
+5 Weapon Enhancement (Ranged)
When a projectile fired from a Zerging weapon strikes a target, it immediately transmutes into a zergling (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=18843782&postcount=225). This zergling lives for ten rounds or until otherwise slain.

Hypothetically, for every additional +1 you add, you could upgrade to Hydralisk, Mutalisk, and Ultralisk. I thought this would be a solid zerging tyle weapon because of volley fire being the main way to do archery.

Oh, and in case it isn't obvious, this is for zergling.exe

Not sure what I would do with it, but I would call anything based on you the Rackhammer. Probably a Light Mace that came in pairs and got like a 10-20 crit range for Lightning Maces.

As of the reveals from November, yes, Lurkers were slated for a return. As for whether or not they're still planned to make it into multiplayer is another matter entirely. You can find the videos and news on Youtube.

Also, Snowbluff, my original idea for you was a sword that could cast Glibness and Snowball with more uses and caster level that scaled, among other things.. I think you can see what I was getting at.

No, no. Of course they'll be in single player in LotV, you just won't control them unless Blizzard is letting you play the Zerg since it's a Protoss Campaign.

I meant to say, they're going to be in multiplayer, that's the big news.

Keledrath's Martial Blade (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=18858459&postcount=84). Found as a +3 Adamantine Longsword with a +2 Enchantment on it.

3/Day, you may gain a number of maneuvers equal to your initiating modifier+2 as a move action that does not provoke. If you are not an initiator, your initiator lentil is considered 3/4 your character level, and Use your highest mental stat to determine your number of maneuvers. This can only grant maneuvers of a level equal or lower than what your initiator would allow. These maneuvers disappear at the end of the encounter.

1/Day: You may transform this weapon into any other one handed melee weapon you are proficient in. This may be of any special material. You may also choose up to +5 worth of enhancements and enchantments on it.

You are also granted the use of one stance as long as you wield this weapon, and benefit from both it and any other stance you are in. Your initiator level determines your highest level stance. You may change this at the beginning of each day. See the above special ability for non-initiators.

Seerow's Sword of Fighting

In the hands of some characters this greatsword functions merely as a masterwork greatsword, although its magical aura reveals it to be something more. In the hands of a character with one or more feats from the fighter bonus feat list is this sword's real function revealed as it gains an enhancement bonus to attack equal to 1/2 the number of feats from the fighter bonus feat list that the wielder possesses and a bonus to damage equal to the number they possess. Each feat which explicitly requires fighter levels counts as two feats for the purpose of this weapon.

Incidentally in the hands of a Fighter using my fix, my weapon becomes absurdly powerful. I love it.

Shadowscale's club of Improbable Jumping (Cursed item)
This appears to be a +5 speed club until actually used, at which point the club forces the wielder to make a really stupid jump every time they attack, provoking attacks of opportunity and denying them their dexterity bonus to AC against such attacks. The club no longer provides any actual benefit, and cannot be dropped; it is stuck in the wielder's grip until a remove curse or equivalent allows its safe removal.

i think i have a unique weapon for one of the regulars.

threadnaught's and rudi's spork. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=18831046&postcount=209)

http://33.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lyq7rjeyjI1qzfsnio1_500.gif

fluff, one day the great wizard threadnaught met a travelling vagrant who introduced himself as rudi.
feeling sorry for rudi threadnaught offered to share his lunch with him, rudi gladly accepted as he had not eaten in a week. after eating hearty rudi thanked the noble wizard and gave him his one possession he owned and said it would keep threadnaught safe. threadnaught examined it a moment and when he looked up to ask a question rudi was gone.

It looked like some sort of knife that could be retracted and hidden on your person, except it was not a blade that came out, but a spoon with prongs like a fork. it did not register as magical.

later that night whilst sleeping he was attacked by bandits in the night, the bandits had magical aid and he could do nothing. he soon found himself helpless and at their mercy.
as the leader went through his stuff he found the spork and asked what it was. threadnaught replied honestly and said "its a junk present a hungry vagrant gave me, its worthless".
the leader of the bandits flicked it open and in that instant the clearing shone like daylight and a solar appeared and slew the bandits.
through his daze he recognised the solar, none other than rudi himself.
rudi revived threadnaught to his full health and then left. leaving only his spork behind as before.

threadnaught's and rudi's spork appears to not be a weapon at first glance, but if wielded it counts as a master worked dagger that only deals nonlethal damage.

if the spork is used to attack any creature with the evil subtype it acts as if a +3 dagger with the ghost touch and bane (targeted creature type) enchantments. the bane switches every time a different creature is attacked and reverts to its mundane state directly after the attack.

if the owner of the spork ever has the spork stolen or it is disarmed from him, as soon as the spork is opened from being retracted (its normal position) a solar appears and immediately attacks the thief or assailant and returns the spork to its current rightful owner. the solar returns the owner to living and full health if needed and rescues the owner if necessary before disappearing. this effect is the equivalent of the gate spell but works regardless of the current circumstance and can even operate in an antimagic field.

the owner of the spork may gift it to another being, but it must be in return for a kind act performed to them. if the spork is ever sold it disappears instantly and is lost forever until rudi (the solar called) finds a worthy owner again.

p.s. where's my weapon :smallfrown:

Sideswiper
This long-bladed polearm seems to sweep naturally through the air without effort.
When you make an attack with this +5 speed glaive, instead of attacking normally, you must make an attack roll against each creature in either all your threatened squares in front of you and behind you, or to your left and to your right.

Example: Theodor is a human paladin wielding the Sideswiper. He is standing in (0,0). He may therefore choose either to attack everyone in (-2, 2), (-1, 2), (0, 2), (1,2) (2, 2), (-2, -2), (-1, -2), (0, -2), (1,-2) and (2, 2), or to attack everyone in (-2, 2), (-2, 1), (-2, 0), (-2, -1), (-2, -2), (2, 2), (2, 1), (2, 0), (2, -1) and (2, -2).

Jormengand's Cursedealer

+3 weapon property

Up to three times per day, the wielder of a Cursedealer weapon can use it to make a Melee touch Attack against any magic item that provides a numeric bonus (such as a +2 Longsword, Orange Ioun Stone, or Eyes of the Eagle). That item becomes cursed for 24 hours, giving a penalty of the same type and number as its previous bonus and becoming impossible to unequip in any way unless the wearer receives a Remove Curse for the duration.

jormengand's travelin' javelin.

with a word and a throw you can be instantly transported across space.

jormengand's travelin' javelin is a +2 returning javelin in all ways apart from the following.

the javelin has a range increment of 5ft per point of strength of the wielder.
as well as being able to deliver spells stored through ranged attacks from the javelin, you may as a free action upon a successful attack roll (after the attack has been resolved) teleport to the closest square to the target as if you had just used dimension door as a spell like ability. this does not provoke attacks of opportunity and you may act normally for the rest of your turn. including taking any remaining attacks you have if you threw it as part of a full attack. if this is done as the result of your first attack of a full attack, you may make the remainder of your attacks using any melee weapon you had drawn before you made the first attack. if you have the feat power attack you may trade your base attack bonus starting with your second attack if you used the first attack to teleport next to your target.

Also, for eggynack...

Gatekeeper's Reach

This +2 Byeshk Aberration-Bane Orcish Shotput gains special powers when wielded by Orcs or Half-Orcs, and by Druids. When wielded by an Orc or Half-Orc, Gatekeeper's Reach returns to its wielder after each attack, ready to be used again. When wielded by a Druid or other user of Wild Shape, Gatekeeper's Reach does not merge when the wielder changes form. Instead, the weapon appears to vanish down the Druid's throat. The Druid can then vomit forth the weapon as a ranged attack, attacking as if it were wielded in two hands, no matter how many hands the Druid's new form possesses. If the Druid is also a Half-Orc or Orc, when Gatekeeper's Reach returns after use it returns down the Druid's throat, ready to be used again. Half-Orc and Orc Druids automatically gain proficiency with Gatekeeper's Reach.

Druids, especially Half-Orc Druids, which means especially orcish-themed weapons...and it's hard to get a good ranged attack in most wild shape forms after all.

As you pick up this staff, you feel a rush of creative inspiration, and the will to shape it so that it becomes a reality. You can hear whispers of great inventors around you, guiding your own creations.

This +4 Merciful Quarterstaff confers a number of benefits upon the user. Firstly, it allows the use of Minor Creation as an SLA 5 times per day, and the use of Major Creation 1 time per day. The items created are permanent as long as you do not try to sell them at profit, upon which they disappear immediately before the transaction is made. You may give them free of charge, however. Secondly, you gain the benefits of Craft Wondrous Item and Craft Magic Arms and Armor as bonus feats, if you have the required caster level. Lastly, you gain a +2 untyped bonus to INT and CHA while wielding this. You also gain a bonus to craft and linguistics equal to half your level.

42 Shards of Iz

A legendary greatsword once wielded by the War Prophet from whom it took its name, the sword Iz was broken in battle with the archfiend Bel. Shattered into 42 pieces each of these shards was implanted into a cestus. These cestuses may be worn as magical gloves (taking up the glove slot). If worn thus they grant bonuses to a creature's unarmed strikes as if those unarmed strikes were enchanted with the enhancement bonus and weapon properties associated with that cestus. As each cestus is a single glove a second one can be worn, in which case the wearer may switch which one is active each round as a move action.

The 42 cestuses and the magic weapon properties they emulate are listed below, the odd numbered cestuses being for the left hand, the even for the right.
1. +1 Outsider (Chaotic) Bane Banishing
2. +2 Axiomatic
3. +3 Defending
4. +2 Acidic Burst
5. +2 Flaming Burst
6. +2 Icy Burst
7. +2 Shocking Burst

9. +2 Desiccating Burst
10. +2 Paralytic Burst
11. +2 Wounding
12. +3 Warning
13. +1 Screaming Burst Stunning
14. +2 Psychokinetic Burst
15. +2 Blindsight
16. +1 Speed
17. +1 Ethereal Reaver
18. +2 Mindcrusher
19. +2 Psibane
20. +2 Transmuting
21. +2 Sacred Burst
22. +3 Merciful
23. +2 Impact Maiming
24. +1 Ghost Strike Undead Bane
25. +2 Greater Dispelling

If all 42 cestuses were brought together their shards could be removed and reforged to recreate the Sword of Iz. This greatsword would function as a magic weapon with a total effective enhancement bonus of +10. The actual properties of the weapon would be any combination of those which the shards could grant, with anywhere from +1 to +4 enhancement bonus and +9 to +6 in weapon properties. These properties could be changed as a move action each round. Its caster level for all effects is considered to be 25, and any dispel effect functions as Greater Dispel Magic instead of as Dispel Magic. In addition in the hands of a monk the sword's true prowess would be revealed. A monk is considered proficient in the sword of Iz even if they are not normally proficient in Greatswords, may treat it as a special monk weapon, and may add their base unarmed damage as if a medium sized monk to its weapon damage.

The 42 shards of Iz are each a piece of a major artifact, and the precise means to destroy each shard is unknown. If it is reforged the Sword of Iz can only be broken into 42 shards if sundered by a pit fiend, then these shards must be individually disposed of.

The Worm Judge

Forged by a mad illithid who turned from the Elder Brains and Ilsenssine towards the worship of Kyuss. The Worm Judge is a +2 Unholy Morningstar. The spikes on the Worm Judge seem to wriggle and writhe and when it hits a living creature these worms attempt to burrow in to the target forcing them to succeed at a DC 16 Fortitude save or be infested by these parasites. When a creature becomes infested they suffer 1d3 Str and Dex damage immediately, and cannot be further infested until that infestation is cured. This infestation functions as a disease which deals 1d3 Str and Dex damage on a failed Fortitude save (DC 16). In addition an undead creature wielding the Worm Judge may 1/day make a touch attack with it as a standard action. This attack deals no damage to the target but they must make a DC 16 Will save or suffer the effects of a Bestow Curse spell (CL 13).

---

In other news, IZ42 since you missed a vestige, if you want one I could give a try on making one... expect them to be monk themed and have died fighting Bel.

I have no clue how vestiges work (._. I am not an expert on 3.5, Pathfinder is my thang), and missed vestiges because I wasn't well known when that was happening. But sure, if you want to make me a vestige, go right ahead! You'll end up making all of my items, feats, spells etc. XD. (I also had to read up on who Bel was, and dying fighting a major Archdevil seems like my first character's style of thing, so awesome!)

EDIT: Once this thread gets finished off, we should create maneuvers. That seems fun. Especially if disciplines from 3.5 and Pathfinder are allowed, because I can do pathfinder maneuvers quite easily, and know nothing about 3.5 maneuvers.

@IZ42

Iz, the Ancient Master
Vestige Level: 6th.
Binding DC: 25
Special Requirement: No
Iz was an ancient warrior, known for his focus on self-mastery. His skill in unarmed combat was dreaded across his home world, but greater still was his skill with his great two-handed blade.
Legend: Iz is said to have come from humble beginnings, an orphan raised by a monastic order. Night and day he trained, building his body to perfection, learning the teachings of the monastery. Iz’s monastery was destroyed however, and it is said he forged a sword from the scrap metal remaining with which he pursued a bloody vengeance upon the orcish raiders which destroyed the order. This vendetta consumed his life for many years, but eventually the orcish horde was shattered, and he looked back on his life and saw simply blood. For years thereafter, Iz devoted himself to peace, living in hermitage, trying to meditate on the true purpose of life. Then the fiends came, a great army, descending out of vile hellgates. Iz joined the heroes who faced them, helping drive them back pursuing all the way into the depths of hell itself. There upon the blasted waste where fireballs fell from the sky, he faced the commander of the infernal legion the pit fiend general Bel who would later rise to lordship of the First. The two battled for hours and days, until at last the pit fiend tore into him. Iz’s body shredded and dead, he fought on through sheer force of will striking a deep wound into the general of Baator. Enraged Bel shattered Iz’s sword and struck him down not just in body but soul, rending Iz’s spirit so it could not pass on to the hallowed slopes of Celestia.
Manifestation: Iz manifests first by reaching out of the ground with one hand like a corpse clawing its way back to the surface. Covered in horrific scars, the corpse slowly rises out of the seal until it stands looking like a grotesque replica of its binder, its body half rotten and thoroughly torn, sex indeterminate, height and race the same as its binder, face ravaged. 42 shards of steel sit inside Iz’s flesh, stabbing and digging into its body. Iz speaks in a hoarse whisper, voice deep, even as its body radiates an infernal heat.
Sign: A thick web of scars form across your body, crisscrossing and layering over it.
Influence: Iz drives you to pursue battles to their end. You must see your enemy completely routed and defeated. Iz’s influence prevents you from giving up on pursuit of an enemy, except to pursue another current foe, and from accepting a surrender that does not render the enemy a complete non-threat.
Granted Abilities: Iz gives you the ability to summon a replica of his sword, to fight on beyond when your body should be dead, stun foes with your mighty blows, leap great distances, and some of the skills and talents of a monk.
Summoned Blade: As a swift action you can summon a magic greatsword. You are proficient in this weapon, may treat it as a monk special weapon, and may add your base (i.e. just the dice) monk unarmed damage you possess (either from monk levels or binding Ronove) to your damage with this weapon. Your greatsword’s exact bonus and abilities depend on your effective binder level, according to the following table.

Effective Binder LevelGreatsword Summoned
10th or lower+1 greatsword
11th-14th+1 Sacred Outsider (Evil) Bane greatsword
15th-18th+2 Sacred Outsider (Evil) Bane greatsword
19th++3 Sacred Outsider (Evil) Bane greatsword

Stunning Blow: As a free action you can instill your next melee attack with the potential to momentarily stun a foe. You must use this ability before you make your attack roll. If you hit the target must make a Fortitude saving throw or be stunned for 1 round. Once you have used this ability you cannot use it again for 5 rounds.
Narrow Path: The way of the monk is a narrow one, and it is easy to be led astray or to fall from it. You gain a +6 competence bonus to Balance and Sense Motive checs.
Hard to Kill: You do not die at -10 hit points, but instead at -10 – your Constitution score (for example if you have Con 11 you do not die until -21). While at 0 or less hit points you do not fall unconscious but are instead limited to only a standard and swift action each round, and you do not fall unconscious due to nonlethal damage unless it is at least as much higher than your current hit points as your death point is below 0 (i.e. if you don’t die until -21 you are not knocked out unless you have 21 more nonlethal damage than hit points). Finally while at 0 or less hit points you gain Damage Reduction (1/2 effective binder levels)/-.
Mighty Leaps: As a full-round action you may move up to twice your speed and make a Jump at any point during this movement. With this jump you move 5 times the normal distance of your jump check (whether long or high jump) and may move all this distance as part of this full round action regardless of whether it is longer than your speed. Once you have used this ability you must wait 5 rounds to do so again.

The history of Illyhar's ring is unknown. Some say that Illyhar himself crafted the ring, others argue that Illyhar robbed the creator of the ring. Regardless of the story, the ring is known as the famous possession of the adventurer Illyhar, as no other stories tell of another individual with the same ring.

Illhyar's ring of Warping is a solid gold band with few details on it, but when worn the begins to shine different colors. The color changes randomly and determines what power the ring currently possesses. The color changes once per round. As a standard action, the wearer of Illhyar's ring may activate the ring gaining the power associated with the power. Illhyars ring functions once per day, after being used the ring no longer shines and instead is a simple gold band.

Colors:
Black - Gain the Spell warped template (http://www.realmshelps.net/monsters/templates/spellwarped.shtml) for 10 rounds.
White - Gain the Saint Template (http://www.realmshelps.net/monsters/templates/saint.shtml) for 10 rounds (if non-good, replace all the features of the Saint template with non-good equivalents, such as granting a double strength Magic circle against Chaos for a lawful character.
Red - Gain Fast Healing 1 for 10 rounds, additionally anyone who attacks you with a melee attack takes 1 fire damage.
Green - Increase in size (as per enlarge person) for 10 rounds
Blue - Gain Darkvision and underwater breathing for 10 rounds.
Celestial Blue - Gain the Outsider type as well as DR15/--, SR 25 + Character Level, and a +2 Sacred bonus to Str, Con, Wis, and Charisma for 10 rounds.
Yellow - Cast a Blinding Light in a 100ft radius AOE centered on yourself. Anyone caught in the light must make a DC10 + Character Level + Charisma save or be Blinded for 10 rounds.
Orange - Gain construct immunities for 10 rounds.
Violet - Gain a +5 Sacred Bonus on diplomacy checks with nobility for 10 rounds.
Silver - Ignore damage reduction and Spell Resistance for 10 rounds. Additionally, at the beginning of your turn, randomly teleport into a square 10ft away from you.
Jade - Gain a +8 enhancement bonus to Dexterity and Strength as well as the ability to move over difficult terrain normally for 10 rounds.
Gray - Instantly Die.

Sgt. Cookies Jar of Cookies are a source of infinite cookies. Inside a Sgt. Cookies Jar of Cookies is an infinite supply of chocolate chip cookies as well as 10 white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. A Macadamia nut cookie may be consumed as a standard action, granting the consumer both a huge boost in morale due to the taste of the cookie as well as a strong desire for another cookie.

As a result of the morale boost, the consumer of the cookie behaves as if under the effects of a Heroes Feast (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/heroesFeast.htm) spell.

As a result of the desire to enjoy another cookie, if the consumer would be brought into -10 or lower hitpoints within an hour of eating a macadamia nut cookie, the consumer does not die as doing so would prevent the consumer from enjoying more cookies. Instead, the cookie consumer lives until the end of their next turn, refusing to die and being able to act normally, regardless of how much damage they have taken.

Once all 10 white chocolate macadamia nut cookies are consumed the jar only contains an infinite supply of chocolate chip cookies. The white chocolate macadamia nut cookies may be replaced by placing freshly baked white chocolate macadamia nut cookies into the jar, however these cookies must be of exceptional quality, requiring a DC25 Profession (Baker) check to make.

Man, idk how good any of these are.

It is said that once a millennium, Boccob gathers the greatest of all mages within the Library of Lore to see if any can show him a use of magic that he has not seen, heard of, or envisioned. Very few have succeeded. Save for one known as Deadline, who was granted Deadline's Trophy Amulet as a reward for his expertise.

Deadlines Trophy Amulet is a Solid Gold amulet. As a standard activation power may be drawn from the amulet to activate an effect based off the metal the amulet is made of. With each activation the amulet decreases in the quality of metal, going from Gold to Silver to Bronze and finally to Copper. At the end of each day the amulet returns to it's previous Gold.

Gold: +1 to Caster Level, this is a continuous effect. As a standard action you may either activate Citywalk (as per a 10th level Urban Soul) or use Dominate Dragon (as a 10th level Talon of Tiamat)
Silver: As a standard action all attacks you make are treated as Cold Iron for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction, additionally you gain DR15/Cold Iron.
Bronze: As a standard action, you may make take a defensive stance, this stance lasts as long as you maintain a single position. By taking this stance you gain a +4 Constitution bonus and a +1 to Caster level.

After seeing myself done as a spell (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19087665&postcount=269), I must see what I would be as a weapon.

I'd build you one, but I don't have the time, and am on mobile right now.

You'd probably be a Mace of some sort that can force people to roll twice and take the lower of the two rolls X/Day. Or allow you to roll twice and take the higher of the two. Just a couple of ideas.

I haven't really done any homebrewing here, so I might well not qualify as a GitP regular by the standards that matter for this thread, but if anyone wants to make Kish (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19114547&postcount=140) into a weapon, go ahead.

The Hyena Spear

Forged of rare Abyssal stone, blood seems to drip from this longspear at all times, vanishing 1d6 rounds after leaving the spear. This +3 unholy longspear deals damage as if it were adamantine and laughs madly when it draws blood from a living creature (i.e. deals lethal damage to one) granting its wielder a +1 morale bonus to attack and damage for 1 round whenever they injure a living creature, increasing to +2 if the creature had the Baatezu subtype. In addition the wounded creature must make a Fortitude save (DC 16) or have their alignment temporarily shift to Chaotic Evil (similar to the Morality Undone spell from FCI) as the Abyssal "blood" from the spear mixes with their own vital fluids. If the Hyena Spear is used to kill a creature it lets out a powerful, booming, horrifying laugh which causes all creatures (other than the wielder) within 60-ft with HD equal to or less than the slain creature to have to make a Will save (DC 16) or be shaken for 1 minute; in addition the morale bonus to attack and damage lasts for 1 round per hit die of the slain creature instead of 1 round.

(iirc you're a demon not a devil, correct Laughing Dog?)

Windcutter Scythe

This +2 shocking scythe grants its wielder an additional +1 to hit for each grade their flight maneuverability is better than their target's (treat no fly speed as clumsy), so a wielder with perfect maneuverability would gain +1 to hit a target with good, +2 to hit one with average, +3 to hit one with poor, and +4 to hits one with clumsy or without a fly speed. In addition 3 times per day the wielder may strike at the wind itself releasing a powerful wave of tearing wind in a 50-ft cone dealing 1d6 damage per 2 points of BAB the wielder possesses to all creatures within the cone (this ignores DR) a successful Reflex save (DC 16) halves, doing so replaces one attack the wielder could make either in a full attack or as an attack action.

@dudeons: I made you a spell, I'll let it wait a bit and see if someone else wants to make you a weapon.

8. +2 Collision
9. +2 Desiccating Burst
10. +2 Paralytic Burst
11. +2 Wounding
12. +3 Warning
13. +1 Screaming Burst Stunning
14. +2 Psychokinetic Burst
15. +2 Blindsight
16. +1 Speed
17. +1 Ethereal Reaver
18. +2 Mindcrusher
19. +2 Psibane
20. +2 Transmuting
21. +2 Sacred Burst
22. +3 Merciful
23. +2 Impact Maiming
24. +1 Ghost Strike Undead Bane
25. +2 Greater Dispelling
26. +3 Vicious
27. +2 Banishing
28. +2 Consumptive
29. +2 Vampiric
30. +1 Necrotic Focus
31. +1 Body Feeder
32. +1 Curse Spewing
33. +2 Impedance
34. +2 Energy Aura
35. +2 Doom Burst
36. +1 Illusion Theft
37. +1 Incorporeal Binding Undead Bane
38. +3 Magebane
39. +3 Revealing
40. +3 Lucky
41. +2 Dragondoom Dragonbane
42. +4 Weapon

I really like the concept behind this one. One could more tightly define the merged result, though that does take away a bit of the mystery, which is part of the point as far as I can see. The various alignment-based, Bane and Burst enhancements probably would merge/overlap, though, but even without any ones that would overlap you have at least +24 worth of enhancements to pick and choose from.

(Oh, and because I quite enjoy these things, Morph Bark hereby grants permission (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19125509&postcount=143)).

The Morphic Blade of Masterful Dabbling (Major* Artifact)

Said to be stored on the third tier bookcase in the six story Pagoda of Unequal Measures, the Morphic Blade is guarded by a devout sect of warrior monks. While the blades' powers are not great, or world shaking, as some legendary weapons, it is still a valuable tool do to its many and varied uses. The Morphic Blade has no single form instead taking many as it shifts and changes based on how it is wielded.

The Morphic Blade's abilities include:

1/day its wielder may use an Eldritch Blast (as the warlock ability, CL = character level) dealing 1d6 damage per 2 character levels or adding that amount to their normal eldritch blast damage (if any). When its wielder does so the Morphic Blade becomes a +3 Defending Dagger.
1/day its wielder may cast one of Alarm, Unseen Servant, Comprehend Languages, Charm Person, Persistent Blade, Disguise Self, Ray of Enfeeblement, Jump, Distracting Ray, Baleful Transposition, See Invisibility, Ray of Stupidity, Shatter, Invisibility, False Life, or Knock as if they were a Wizard 2/3rds their Character Level (they do not have to prepare it first, but must have Int 10 + Spell level). When they do so the Morphic Blade becomes a +2 Magebane/+2 Magebane Quarterstaff.
1/day its wielder may cast one of Bane, Bless, Command, Detect Chaos/Evil/Good/Law, Sanctuary, Align Weapon, Close Wounds, Cure Moderate Wounds, Lesser Restoration, and Spiritual Weapon as a cleric 2/3rds their character level (they do not have to prepare it first, but must have Wis 10 + Spell level). When they do so the Morphic Blade becomes a +2 Holy (if wielder is good or neutral) or Unholy (if wielder is Evil) Morningstar.
1/day its wielder may manifest one of Astral Traveler, Control Light, Crystal Shard, Empty Mind, Know Direction and Location, Vigor, Biofeedback, Cloud Mind, Concealing Amorpha, Energy Push, Psionic Identify, or Psionic Levitate as a Wilder of 2/3rds their character level automatically fully augmented (they do not have to expend power points, but must have Cha 10 + Power Level). When they do so the Morphic Blade becomes a +2 Psibane Longspear.
1/day its wielder may initiate one of the following martial maneuvers as a swordsage of their character level: Burning Blade, Moment of Perfect Mind, Counter Charge, Wall of Blades, Cloak of Deception, Battle Leader's Charge, Revitalizing Strike, Bonecrusher, or Soaring Raptor Strike. When they do so the Morphic Blade becomes a +2 Keen Aptitude Falchion.
1/day they may activate any draconic or marshal major aura as a swift action, this aura lasts for 1 round per character level they possess. When they do so the Morphic Blade becomes a +2 warning dragonbane longbow. Any 1st or 2nd level infusion as an Artificer of their character level. When they do so it becomes a +2 Metalline Warhammer. 1/day they may use any 1st or 2nd level utterance of the lexicon of the evolved mind without having to make a truename check unless speaking the target's personal truename (utterer level = character level). When they do so it becomes a +2 Heavy Mace which grants a +5 Competence bonus on all skill checks.
1/day they may use one of the following mysteries as a shadowcaster of 2/3rds their level (you must meet minimum ability score requirements) Steel Shadows, Bend Perspective, Dusk and Dawn, Mesmerizing Shade, Black Fire, Congress of Shadows, or Flesh Fails. When you do so the Morphic Blade becomes a +1 Shadowstriking Longsword. 1/day you may as a swift action bind a vestige with a level up to 1/4th your character level as a binder 2/3rds your character level; this bind lasts for only 1 minute and is in addition to any normal soulbinding you may possess. When you use this ability the Morphic Blade becomes a +2 Wounding Sickle.
1/day you may, as a swift action, shape an incarnate soulmeld and bind it to your crown, feet, or hands chakra if it can be bound to one of those chakras (and you do not have an item or pre-existing chakra bind to prevent this). This soulmeld remains shaped for 1 minute after which time it vanishes, and during this time it is considered to have your maximum essentia invested but you do not actually invest essentia into it (and cannot remove it). When you use this ability the Morphic Blade becomes a +1 Holy (if wielder is good), Anarchic (if wielder is chaotic), Axiomatic (if wielder is Lawful), or Unholy (if wielder is Evil) club for 1 minute.

As a Major Artifact the Morphic Blade has its own achilles' heel by which it may be destroyed. In the case of the Morphic Blade it is extremely easy to perform, if the method is known. It must be worn out, each of the blade's activated abilities must be used by a different wielder and the blade must be wielded in combat in each of its forms for 1 minute during the space of a single sunset and sunrise (on the prime). If this is done the Morphic Blade will rust and crumble to dust.

*It is possible that the Morphic Blade is in fact a minor artifact. If so the warrior monks of the Pagoda of Unequal Measures are not telling.

So... I need a weapon for my WeaselGuy (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19056532&postcount=129) worshipping Weaselguy (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19118741&postcount=362) Warlord (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/path-of-war/classes/warlord) to wield in PsyBomb's PF PbP campaign... who wants to hook me up?

My permission, it has been given! (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19128471&postcount=146)

*snip for brevity, because WOW*

o_o;

That... that's quite something. Something very cool! I like the interaction between the SLAs and forms of the weapon. Probably could use a bit more splitting up, since some of the forms are shuffled in under the same listing-dot as others, but that's only formatting stuff. Awesome stuff, Zaydos. Many thanks! I think I could use it to build a neat little plot around for my newest batch of players.

As I pray...

PERMISSION (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19216586&postcount=149) COPYPASTA WORKS!

Permission granted because why not. Let's see if I actually have a "character" on this forum or if I'm as much of a Boringly Normal Guy What Happens to Post a Lot as I think I am.:smallconfused:

...Okay, I have rather gotten into the spirit of a certain thread in the Media subforum (:smallwink:), but let's see if someone can't put together a version disregarding that anomaly (in addition to the version taking it into account, of course, not instead of).:smalltongue:

While my homebrew shows an obsession with magic items, my real obsession is single function dependency and versatility. So, Aptitude on crack.

Item enhancement: Morphic:
All abilities specifiying a type of attack or weapon apply to a Morphic weapon, but it changes into the item appropriate for the largest number of the bonuses, but keeps all stats exept weight.(proficiency and specialization count. Also, Natual and Unarmed attack abilities count, so some Monk feats work with it)
Special: a Morphic weapon has the highest stats of any weapon of it's size category.(Highest dice count, highest dice size, highest reach, highest crit range and, most importantly, highest weight until it changes.)
Requirements: Alter Self or other means of changing form, item must be able to store the means of transformation, item must have Aptitude.
Cost: as a +5 enhancement, remove Aptitude and the enhancement used to store the transformation ability.(you strip it of Spell Storing, which is a pretty big price, but you now have a weapon that is a buffed Aptitude.)

Welp had one in mind, but didn't want to necro the thread to post it...

Kneecapping (Temotei)

A kneecapping weapon naturally seeks out the knees of any creature it strikes. When a kneecapping weapon damages a creature they must make a Reflex save (DC 15) or have their land, burrow, and climb speeds reduced by 1/2 if they have 2 legs, 1/4 if they have 4 legs, 1/6 if they have 6 legs, or 1/8 if they have 8 legs (a creature with more than 8 legs or no legs is unaffected). A creature with 0 ft speed can still move 5 ft as a full round action. This speed reduction lasts until the creature is healed to full health or 50 hp (whichever comes first).

Kneecapping may only be applied to bludgeoning weapons.

Moderate divination; CL 7th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, true strike, creator must have 5 or more ranks in Profession (Judge); Price +2 bonus.
