. . . a devious ploy and enticing entanglement?
Honestly, I am generally happy to play something and or at least read through something and at go 'Ooh, neat idea, but terrible execution'. But Trap Ranger never seemed like a good idea even on the face of it for anyone but someone defending their own turf, which will almost always be an NPC thing,
So I never really read through it, but, like every time Paizo comes up with a new subsystem, they make archetypes for other classes with a watered down version and often feats that let you do a likely lesser version still at the cost of a feat or more.
It's not a bad idea, and I like it for sub-systems I like, but there is several archetypes that sound neat and then, oh, oh it has Ranger traps. And it traded all that for this thing I won't use?
So, Playground, I want your thoughts on these?
Are they good, or good enough, or are they, in the words of a certain Admiral . . . (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F4qzPbcFiA)
