So the dm guide has advice for running a wuxia campaign. Anyone try that? How did it go?

It doesn't change anything since the DMG guidelines are just swapping fluff.

I know, I personally just don't see d&d going well with that fluff, and was wondering how it went when people used it. What worked what didn't. That kind of stuff.

Like. If I wanted to do wuxia, I wouldn't use d&d. I would use.... I don't know. Exalted? Savage worlds? Pallidium? and was wondering how people think d&d works for it.

Oh... Personally, I'm not a great fan of fluff other than medieval (whether high or low magic) when playing D&D, so I'm biased.

It works like you'd expect it to work. Similarly to how D&D handles firearms, you can have them in your world, but it's gonna feel off.

The great advantage 5e has over these systems you've mentioned is that you don't need to learn and then teach the group another system if they've grown used to D&D.
