I didn't back the kickstarter, ($10 minimum was a bit rich for my blood at the time, and I wasn't, and still am not, interested in any of the physical items.), which was probably a bad decision in retrospect. I guess it's been asked and answered before, but I can't find it, is there any guide to when/if those who didn't participate in the kickstarter will get to read the PDFs?

I can't help with the when, but the answer to the question of if? is yes. The Giant has stated that sometime after all the Kickstarter stories are done, they will be compiled and released in book form.

Also we've only gotten 3 out of the eight, so any complete collection would be a ways off. We've gotten the Backer's Choice Belkar, Backer's Choice Therkla, and the Haleo and Julean stories. There's still the OChul, Dim Sun, Sir Francois, Julio Scoundrel, and the Backer's Choice CPPD stories to go before there would be a compilation.

I though he basically said he reserved the right to do something like that without making any promise that he would.

The relevant Word of Giant is here (https://twitter.com/RichBurlew/status/435652693353197568).

For those who wonder about what Rich may have said at some point on a comic-related topic, this is the easiest way to find out. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?400682-The-Index-of-the-Giant-s-Comments-IV-A-Rich-Source-of-Quotassium)

I would invite you all to read the Giant's opening post in the Kickstarter PDF discussion thread stickied above. Particularly the part where he says

These stories will be available in print someday for everyone else who didn't back, so if you don't have them now and you think you're likely to buy the book in which they appear...don't read any further!

To be fair, the *Unmarked spoilers* in the thread title doesn't invite people who don't have the Kickstarter PDFs :smallwink:

I hope they are eventually made available to all, as I unfortunately did not became a fan of OOTS in time to participate in the Kickstarter. It may take some time before any such collection could even be thought of, given the PDFs that have yet to be written, but I'm sure it would be well worth the wait.

I was a fan, I just completely forgot about supporting the Kickstarter until after it was over, and am equally certain they will be well worth the wait.

I'll add my voice to those who assert that, whether or not we contributed to the kickstarter, whether or not we have the pdf's, we'll still be willing to lay down cold hard cash to own a print version of all the kickstarter stories (once they are all complete) that haven't appeared in other print volumes already.... (please? pretty please??)

Buying a book is going to still be too expensive for me. What I'd like to see is something like a $5 fee that will enable access to the PDFs and only the PDFs, with no physical items attached.

Wouldn't ya know, that's exactly what I paid, and exactly what I got.

I thought it was a $10 minimum to get anything.

Probably was. I just saw a prime opportunity for flippancy, and went for it. Well played.... clerks.

On the topic of eBooks the Giant said on twitter (https://twitter.com/richburlew/status/458839353754935296) "I'll consider it when I've finished all the Kickstarter stories."

Yeah, but that you (and others) had that deal, doesn't make it better for people who want it now. Most likely there are quite some people that would like to get that offer now, but can't because of the limited nature of the Kickstarter.

I am aware.
