Warlock and Spellcasting PrCs - advancing invocations

So it states "A warlock also gains new invocations known at these prestige class levels as though he had gained a level in the warlock class."

Does this extend to the power level of invocations (least, lesser, greater, or dark), or is that solely governed by the New invocation class feature, which is not advanced?

If a warlock takes levels in a PrC that advances spellcasting, would he have access to the same number and power of invocations as a straight-classed warlock,
or would he have the same number of invocations known, but limited to the power level as dictated by his actual warlock levels?

Just like a Wizard or Sorcerer gets access to higher level spells from prestige classes that advance spellcasting, a Warlock likewise gets access to more powerful invocations.

The key thing to remember is that these prestige classes don't specify a specific class feature, they just say you gain new invocations as if you had gained a level of Warlock. If you were using a Warlock ACF that gave you a "bonus invocation" class feature every few levels, that would be included as well since they're invocations you would have gained if you had taken more levels of Warlock.

I was wondering, because the warlock advancement table has a column specifically labeled "Invocations Known", so it read as if this (and Eldritch blast) were the only thing improved by PrC levels.
