Hey everyone,
I've gotten an invite into a pbp where everyone serves the fey or is one of the fey. It'll be level 10 gestalt, no more than +2 LA and 2 RHD.

My first thought was a Cold Iron Warrior http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fey/20040507a; but someone is already playing that PrC.
I dont' really know what other races/classes would be a good thematic match for servants of the Sidhe.

Okay half unseelie, pixies, and dryads of course, but what else is there?
At the moment I'm still brainstorming, so all options are on the table.

Sources: Any 3.X, and even homebrew if you have the link. (All homebrew is approved on a case by case basis, but feel free to suggest anything)

Thank you.

Warlock//Druid?

Maybe even the Fey Druid (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=10546562&postcount=11).

Racewise, there's the grig, the nixie, (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/sprite.htm) the Duskling (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20050907a&page=2), the Faun (http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Faun_%283.5e_Race%29), the Jermlaine (http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?60651-where-oh-where-is-the-jermlaine), the Killoran (http://kmalloy.cloudapp.net/dndtools.eu//races/races-of-the-wild--84/killoren--147/index.html), and quite a few others. Note that all of the listed races are LA+0 except for the Grig and the Nixie, so you have some freedom to add templates if you want.

As for class, perhaps a reflavored Warlock for half of it. You could just describe the abilities differently, but there are also a couple of homebrewed ones that go a step beyond, such as this one (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=8163.0).

Nice, forgot about those, and Giant also references some other feats in complete mage: (Fey Heritage, legacy, power, presence, skin).
I don't remember specific fey stuff for warlock, but they do have that DR/cold iron.

Thank you.

You're welcome. BTW, if you want to play a Telthor, look into the spell Ability Rip (http://kmalloy.cloudapp.net/dndtools.eu/spells/serpent-kingdoms--24/ability-rip--3252/index.html). It costs around 490 gp to hire someone else to cast it on you, or 1125 gp to buy a scroll. The spell gives you a temporary Supernatural ability that someone else has for 24 hours at the cost of permanently losing one of your own. Normally this sucks, but since the terrible ability Bound to the Land is supernatural, you can use this spell to permanently lose it. You now gain all of the upsides of the template without that crippling drawback.

Enjoy!

I missed that "Bound ot the Land" ability of the Telthor.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ability Rip is a temporary transfer right? But the lost Su is permanent?

That's correct.

Also, Telthor telepathy qualifies it for the excellent Mindsight (http://kmalloy.cloudapp.net/dndtools.eu/feats/lords-of-madness--72/mindsight--1960/index.html)feat. You should probably pick up Ghostly Grasp (http://kmalloy.cloudapp.net/dndtools.eu/feats/libris-mortis-the-book-of-undead--71/ghostly-grasp--1214/index.html) too so that you can use items normally even though you're intangible.

As for a base race for a Telthor (since it changes you to fey type) here are some suggestions:

Strongheart halfling: You get small size and a bonus feat and the -2 str doesn't matter because you lose all strength when you become incorporeal anyway.

Air goblin: you get a 30 foot move speed in spite of being small and breathless so you can be inside objects without suffocating (note: I had heard somewhere that Libris Mortis gave all incorporeals breathless, not just undead, but I don't have the book with me so I can't say for sure. You should probably check that out). The -2 str means nothing to you but the -2 con will probably hurt. On the plus side, you get a nice +4 bonus to dexterity.

An animal and get an Awaken spell cast on you: As long as the base animal had no racial HD, the Awaken spell gives you two extra racial HD (which you get for free) and no LA. If you go awakened animal I would suggest either a bird so that you get a flyspeed better than the Telthor's poor fly maneuverability or a monkey so you are tiny but can still use equipment. If incorporeals are automatically breathless an octopus might be a good idea for its multiple arms.

Quick bump from page 2.

Mr Cynic, thanks for the extra info too.

The spell gives you a temporary Supernatural ability that someone else has for 24 hours at the cost of permanently losing one of your own.
Your own link says the spell switches the supernatural abilities of two creatures for 1 hour per level, with no mention of permanent loss.

Well if you're looking at homebrew I just re-worked an old base class for playing a warrior in the service of the fey I had made so it might interest you (since you were looking at a warrior PrC I thought you might be interested; link (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?401772-Wildwood-Knight-%28Fey-themed-martial-initiator-Base-Class-PEACH%29)). /shameless self advertizement.

You could also look at the Fey Heritage feats (Complete Mage) not the strongest feats but fun for a Fey theme, and I believe there's a Fey domain in Book of Exalted Deeds if you wanted to make a Fey themed cleric as something a little different.

I'll add it. That's a martial class; it'll take a lot of looking I think.
And I'll check BoED.

edit: Made some comments on your class.

Odd. When I followed the link I found this in the spell's description.

In exchange for this new ability, the recipient permanently loses a supernatural ability it already possesses. If it has none to exchange, it instead loses two class levels (or 2 Hit Dice if it has no class levels).
