I'm interested in running a game that starts in a traditional, fantastical, fantasy world but moves into a mundane, real-world setting.
I would use D&D 3.5e as that's what I'm most familiar with but a lot of the assumptions of the system (such as wealth by level, appropriate encounters, etc.) rely on a magical world.
What would you all suggest? I'm looking for something that doesn't require as much system mastery as D&D 3.5e, so I'm guessing that stuff like GURPS is off the table.
Thanks for the help!
