So we're at the point in HotDQ where the railroad eases up a bit, and they start to do more with factions - and I can't really find any material about them except this thing...
http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/events/faction-talk-part-1
...which reads like a sneak preview rather than an actual resource. (For instance, they use the phrase 'faction-specific downtime activity' which sounds to me like a placeholder.)

Is there anything more substantial out there, or do I have to improvise? :smallsigh:

Edit: Maybe they're supposed to be in an updated version of the Adventurer's League Players Guide? Supposedly their first cycle ended on Feb 28, though, so if that's the case they're not fully on the ball with their updates.

In the adventurer's guidelines it says this:

Faction Downtime Activity. You gain access to
a faction-specific downtime activity that gives you
additional benefits when you use it. The specific
downtime activities and benefits will be released in the
next update of this guide.

The DMG has information for creating Factions and Organizations on pages 21-23.

In Rise of Tiamat the characters will have an easier time getting allies for the final battle if the Harpers and/or the Order of the Gauntlett support them.
