Can you rage while you're immune to mind effecting spells/abities
e.g. construct raging?

With there being no emotion or morale tag on the class feature, you would gain all the un-typed bonuses and take all the un-typed penalties associated with it, so you would lose out on the +2 morale bonus to Will Saves. As for the Spell version Rage (possibly Emotion, with various choices like with Resist Elements or the like) it would be ineffective on you, as it has the [Mind-Affecting] tag. According to the SRD, anyway.

3.5 or PF?

In PF, yes, because most of the bonuses from rage are morale bonuses - so if you are immune to emotion or mind-affecting you will lose out. But mind-affecting immunity is harder to get there.

Where is the rule about [mind-affecting] immunity turning off morale bonuses? I can't locate it in the SRD.

The only thing about morale bonuses I can find is that they can't affect nonintelligent creatures (which most constructs are). But then they couldn't have levels anyway.

From mind-affecting directly? Not that I can find. However, many sources of mind-affecting immunity also specify immunity to Morale bonuses - including the undead type, the construct type, the vermin type, the ooze type, the plant type.

Mind affecting is only for things with the mind affecting descriptor. It doesn't mean you can't feel fear, inspired, or be convinced a lie is true.

That's what morale is, someone's mental state. If inspired through mundane means it should very well affect creatures who are immune to mind affecting abilities unless otherwise stated.

Yes it does. From Special Abilities chapter: "All fear attacks are mind-affecting fear effects."

Rage (the spell) is Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting], and constructs are unaffected by it.

Barbarian Rage is not called out as such, and only the Will bonus is called out as a morale effect. So it should work, except for the Will bonus.

This is one of the things that indeed works very differently in PF. For starters the stat boosts from rage in PF are morale bonuses in addition to the will boost. And for two, they clarified exactly what constitutes a fear or morale effect. (http://paizo.com/paizo/faq/v5748nruor1fm#v5748eaic9svt)
