So was looking at the lurk class trying to figure out how to give it more since it arguably is a terrible class ran across 2 prestige classes that may help it out a bit. First ones already in the same book that's ebon saint the 2nd is the shadow mind out of complete adventure

Out side of that I'm wondering how to get more sneak atk without cutting manifester lvls to much so other classes only one that I can think of that I'd take a dip in is rogue

With the just the 3 I would go 10 lurk 5 ebon saint and 5 shadowmind feel like this could be better though

-Looks like 4 shadow mind with a lvl of ninja would be more beneficial

Random advice:

- The True Thief (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070629a) ACF gives you an alternate package of augments to choose from, notably including Trapfinding.

- The Lurk Master feat (CPsi 55) is mandatory.

- Shadowmind is a useful dip, and even better if you can use the adaptation.

- The Lurk is more of a manifester first and a rogue (assassin?) second. If you'd prefer it the other way around, consider the Psychic Rogue (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723b) instead, which is a tad weaker psionically but makes up for it with a much stronger chassis (more skills, more sneak attack, Skill Mastery etc.)

The Lurk has two things going for it: full ML manifesting and one very powerful offensive ability - Mental Assault, which can drop most monsters in one or two hits.

Unless you're focusing on those, there's not much reason to use Lurk over Psychic Rogue or Psion. But if you are focusing on those, there's not many classes beside Lurk. Consequently, Lurk is basically an all-or-nothing class.

Check out the alternate class features (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20070629a) for some abilities that can be traded out.

If I were building a Lurk, I would go Kalashtar for the PP, take the Hidden Talent feat for either Dimension Hop or Minor Creation, followed by Link Power and a couple Expanded Knowledges at higher levels and gear up somewhat along the same lines as an Assassin (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=8273.0;msg=131154) (not that the classes are identical, but I think they have pretty similar gear needs with magic-psionic transparency and I don't love rework), plus Torc of Power Preservation.

On that note, the Psionic variant Assassin in Secrets of Sarlona gives full sneak attack along with a (slow) pp progression. Doesn't help your actual ML, but it's something. The other option, the only class with decent simultaneous manifesting and SA advancement, is the psionic adaptation of the Daggerspell Mage outlined in Comp Adventurer.

Thank you both true thief looks really cool doesn't change class skills though correct? Though I like how it adds trap finding really helps if I throw in shadowmind since it gets thief skills.....also ebon saint feels less useful now.
