Hey you all

I am wanting to build a completely broken character. I am newb and don't have much knowledge in how to make a good character with the right class, build, and feats.

But one thing I have learned is that one of the most broken class are psionics. I actual tricked my DM into letting me play one. So now I am ready to build.

Our campaign is doing to start at lv19. I just need to know how to build him. I prefer him to be broken in the damage field but I will take anything just as long as I can understand why that build is broken.

I am thinking psionic warrior but I will go pure psion. Again I don't care on the type of psionic or the build of them I just want a completely broken build and the knowledge of how to use them to make them broken.

Required reading. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?177889-Brainstorm-for-Psionic-Tricks-Tactics-and-Combos-Handbook)

In particular, the Psionic Sandwich trick. Except instead of using a sandwich, use the Tarrasque. All the awesomeness of the Tarrasque with a full Psion riding inside of it. Just Mind Blank yourself so you don't get counter-sandwiched.

If you think psionics are broken, you probably believe you can dump all of your power points to augment a power to insane levels. You can't. One of the basic rules of all psionics that often gets overlooked by first-time readers is that when manifesting a power, you cannot spend more power points in total than your Manifester Level.

Psions are roughly equal to Sorcerers in terms of power. Their powers are more flexible, and they have some unique tricks, but they have to be smart with their power point usage or they'll run out of gas faster than any arcane or divine spellcaster.

I do believe this is an excellent psychic warrior build. (http://community.wizards.com/content/forum-topic/3541096)

I will admit that is what I thought but even with that flaw as a newb I have still heard of DM's not allowing them because they think of them as overpower. Even if there not that is still a class that I have been meaning to play.

The only DMs who think this have most likely made the same mistake (or they're thinking of 2E psionics and haven't bothered to read how the completely different 3E version works). I'll admit that psionics look A-friggin-MAZING on first glance, but really they're just another way of getting from A to B. I have a couple DMs in my group that still don't allow psionics, and it drives me crazy because it makes no sense to me.

Psions are pretty overpowered, but not any more so than a standard magic-user. Magic is overpowered, is the thing. Arcane, divine, whatever, it's all broken. Psions, generally, are stronger than Sorcerers but weaker than Wizards or Clerics...but they're close enough in power that the skill of the player will matter far, far more than the exact class being piloted.

Anyway, since you're starting at level 19, you can actually get 9th level psionic powers and 9th level spells pretty trivially. Best of both worlds. Just go Psion 9/Ur-Priest 2/Psychic Theurge (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040925b) 8. Boom, double 9s.

Replace Psion with StP Erudite. More "fun".
