Is there a shield in DND thats a cape? I had an idea for a swashbuckler that used a rapier in one hand and his cape in another as a shield.

Is there anything like this?

See the combat cloak feat.

Also see this discussion from a week or two ago about a matador (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?402531-Matador-style-classes-feats-or-abilities&highlight=Bullfighter)style fighter that contains many suggestions you'll find useful.

Edit: combat cloak expert. PHB 2 p. 93.

Gnome twistcloth or battle cloaks would probably be the closest.

Gnome Battle Cloak is exactly what I was looking for, thanks

Gnome battle cloak. (RoS). Exotic proficiency needed. But grants a +1 shield bonus and +4 to disarm attempts using it. Can also be magically enhanced like other shields.

In all seriousness, you could simply refluff a buckler to be that same thing but... Dueling Cape in Ultimate Equipment Guide Volume 2 does exactly what you want....which is make a buckler that looks like a cape.
