I've never played a Saint Template before, but in essence, the DM is giving it out for free. So, as a 12th level PC, I get to add the saint template to my character, and essentially, pay for it with some nominal extra EXP on the way to 13th level. (this is likely a one-shot, suicide mission game, so 13th level is not necessarily in my grasp anyhow).

So... as a saint, I gain the outsider type...

Does that include the BAB, the all good saves, and extra skill points that an outsider gets; and that my PC could use as a bit more of a bump?

Generally, I think a template that changes a creature type will tell you if you need to recalculate BAB, saves, and skill points when you apply it.

I don't remember the Saint template saying anything like that.

EDIT: And even if it did, it would only count for racial hit dice. Hit dice derived from class levels would remain unchanged.

thanks!

I was hoping... extra skill points and BAB would have been nice. Oh well!

Changing your type only affects your BAB, skills, and HD from racial levels. Class levels are unchanged by a change in type.
