So, I've been building up and tearing down my homebrew setting for a while. after the last teardown, I want to try something different. Using a D&D game to build the world, rather than building the world for the game. I have a group of characters for the right players. I just need to wait.

I was wondering, since the Dragonlance setting was created that way, are there any specific notes as to how they went about it? I can't seem to find anything too interesting.
