What benefits the most from the Shade (http://kmalloy.cloudapp.net/dndtools.eu/races/races-of-faerun--23/shade--99/index.html) template.

I am curious what race and class gain the most from the Shade template both in D&D and in PF.

Using the CR rules of PF which means the template is a CR +2 so a two level boost.

I'd say that a non-caster probably benefits the most, and particularly one that can benefit from the darkness effect. The general bonuses are good for anyone, but a lot of it is the SLAs and fast healing, which are obviously more useful to a character that can't just cast that already.

In Pathfinder, for example, the classic Ninja (or Vivisectionist) + guns + Sap Master combination would work nicely.
