Can a thunder lance be granted infusion from an artificer?

Extending the duration of a spell does not alter its other properties. If you couldn't use an infusion on it before, Persistent Spell won't change that.

I'm sorry that I did not make my question more clear, basically I'm not clear if the lance can be infused in the first place, I should have not added the persist part. Will edit

By the rules? I don't think so. Artificer infusions must be made on objects and... I'm a bit fuzzy on this part, but... I don't *think* a temporary spell effect like that is an object.

Having said that, I think I would allow it as a DM. Maybe.

I think you may want to pull up the rules of infusions and then look at the rules for Weapon-like Spells in Chapters 3 and 4 of Complete Arcane.
