This is a bluff, of course, but Destro doesn't know that.

Well he doesn't sounds like someone I'd enjoy seeing.

The tedril makes its way behind the gorllia, suddenly becoming very sharp.

Plot sighs, floating down from the rafters.

"Calm down, Murdoch, let's look at this rationally; It was Ruin's fault!" He says, pointing an accusing finger at Maph'tey's CE wing.

No. He is O.K. Not as mean as any other person in the village, but still... Here she shrugged. So... What about you? How were you raised and how did you die? I heard you were cut up.

[Chaotic Bob]

Cut up is puttin it lightly. Sliced and diced would be more accurate. Apparently I wasn't wanted particularly dead yet, so I was raised to solve that little problem...then I was inexplicably pardoned for whatever I did to anger them, so I'm back here.

You.. you couldn't know that! No-one knows where I put it! Destro glances to both sides. I'll... I'll.. He stands up, still on the ceiling, and backs away from Maph'tey. Guess it's unlucky for him that actual Death is his one real fear.

Atok sees that the Destro thing is under control and backs off to watch and jump in if necessary.

Good. I would have sent Georgia out to raise you, but I didn't know where you were.

"I've gotten pretty good at badgering the universe into telling me where people, or things for that matter, are hidden. It helps to be able to step outside said universe and kick it in the shin."

Maph'tey begins floating up toward the ceiling, looking dead serious. At least as much so and the bled out NPC.

"So, are you going to come quietly, or is Refuge going to get to test his new war maul on your soul container?"

Ruin snickers, apparently finding Destro's abject terror hilarious.

"Damn, I forgot Maph'tey was doing that whole 'ignore physical incarnations of abstract concepts.'" Plot shrugs and sits down at the bar, drinking a beer.

The medical gorilla doesn't notice the shadow tendril behind him as he continues trying to work on the dead NPC. As the NPC raises up as a wight, he throws his hands in the air. "Success! Another life saved!"

[Shadow of the Sun]

Umbras finishes his drink, and the activates a teleport spell, popping out of the bar to go sleep.

[Chaotic Bob]

Hm...a few realities over would be the best way to put it, I think.

The tendril whips up, slicing towards the gorillas spine.

[Nevrmore]

A bolt of electricity shoots out of the gorilla's dome, attempting to nullify the tendril.

[puss in boots]

Kerra nodded and took a muffin. Instead of eating it, she stared at it for a moment. Then she jumped up, making Shadow fall to the ground. IamsorrytoleaveonsuchshortnoticebutIthinkIhavefoun dawaytoreversetheflickeringandmakemeelvenagain!
She rushes out of the room.

Shadow picks herself off the floor and without a word started removing the dust from her fur.

Look! A distraction! Destro gestures frantically in the direction of the wight and throws himself backwards and downwards, landing behind the bar. Plot is probably getting plot vibes off Destro.

[Chaotic Bob]

Oh..kay...?
Xeni watches her run off. vaguely confused.

The tendril seems to show a startlingly resistance to the electricity, hardly seeming to notice.

[Nevrmore]

A gorilla hand grabs the tendril before it can penetrate the gorilla's fleshy exterior.

"Not tttttttt*Zzzt*oday." Grom says, angered.

Plot stands up and walks towards Destro, wary of what Maph'tey might do as he passes.

Atok sits down at his seat at the bar just in time to be swallowed by dead time.

Shadow watches him being vaguely confused. She answers Kerra just found out an important ingridient to her potion to stop the flickering. She will be back.

[Rebonack]

A patch of Dead Time hurls itself at Maph'tey just as he turns around.

"Damn it! Now is not a good time!"

The Traveler and the temporal anomaly tussle about for a while until Maph'tey finally gets enveloped.

[Chaotic Bob]

I see...hope it works. Disappointment can be painful.

The tendril squirms slightly and soon, sRizzen's other 6 tendrils move over to help.

[Nevrmore]

"Whew. Thanks Dead Time, I owe you one." Plot waves to DEad Time, whom is currenlty tying up Maph'tey and gagging him. Plot turns to Destro, "Told you I was on top of things."

[Destro_Yersul]

Destro sticks his head up from behind the bar. Is he gone? He notices the dead time and sighs. somehow. It's not like he has functional lungs or anything... Thanks. Now it's time to move my box. And possibly alter it. And also to teach the universe not to give out my secrets. Destro glares at the universe, which shrinks away slightly.

[Nevrmore]

"Don't want to see a drinking buddy all incarcerated." Plot says, nodding to Destro.

Grom tries to grab the other six tendrils while the identical looking gorilla is none the wiser.

[puss in boots]

Shadow does not answer because she falls into dead time.

[Chaotic Bob]

A few tendrils escape the gorilla's grasp, but it fails to matter, as Xeni and sRizzen are assaulted by the dead time horde as well.

Right. Thanks again! Destro grabs the wight by its scraggly wight hair and pops out of existence, heading off to knock some sense into the universe.

Plot sighs, seeing as the only person he liked in this place disappeared. He occupies himself by knocking back more booze.

The man falls asleep, his head dropping to his chest as his breath becomes slow and rythmic. The little girl gets up and chatters away animatedly to Nina as she wipes the tables down. Nina nods every once in a while, not really listening, but prompts the girl to talk even more. The subject of the one way conversation seems to be about the girl's trip to Town.

A Silver-fured fox enters Trogs via the mirror. He looks around and shifts to his elf form, and sits at the bar, obtaining a drink and sipping.

[Castaras]

Jack peeks in through the door, looking round. He trots in and climbs onto one of the tables. He sits, tail twitching, watching the tavern.

[Exachix]

Karsen looks at Jack, chuckles, before sipping his drink.

[Castaras]

Jack turns to look at Karsen, and jumps off the table. He trots over to Karsen and mews pathetically at him.

[Exachix]

Karsen (Elf form) smiles to him.

[Castaras]

Jack stares at Karsen with pathetic eyes.

[Exachix]

Karsen smiles, buys some fish and gives it to Jack.

[Castaras]

Jack purrs loudly and starts gobbling up the fish.

[Exachix]

Karsen smiles, looks around, and sighs, turning back to his drink.

[Castaras]

Jack finishes munching on his fish and curls up, purring.

[Exachix]

Karsen hmms and looks around again.

Jack's tail twitches, as he dozes.

Aimi wanders in, and notices Karsen. She hesitates a moment before taking a seat elsewhere in the bar and ordering a glass of red wine.

Karsen (elf form) hmms and just sips his drink, he doesn't know who Aimi is anyway.

Aimi is confused by Karsen's lack of a hostile reaction, and realizes that not everything is as it seems. Her puzzlement turns to a smile and she gets back up and heads over to him.

Hello. Would you mind some company?

Karsen looks at her and smiles fiantly.

"Urm..." He appears to consider something. "I don't mind."

Karsen nodds, annoyed once again at his player for getting his name mixed up.

Aimi gets distracted from an attempt to shake Karsen's hand by the sudden motion of the juggling.

Karsen looks over and watches, before his eyes drift to the door and he sighs, shifting to Hybrid form.

Aimi starts in surprise when Karsen shifts.

Karsen hmms and just sips his drink, and looks at her.

"Something wrong?"

Aimi quickly regains her composure

No, no... just startled. It's not every elf who suddenly sprouts fur and a tail when you look away.

Karsen smiles.

Aimi takes a sip of her wine

Aimi takes out her ball and rolls it around on the counter. To anyone watching except Karsen, it is hypnotic in it's movements. To Karsen, it looks a little silly.

Karsen smiles and watches for a few seconds before realising something.

"What is that?"

Aimi stops rolling the ball around and picks it up. She smoothly shifts into a red-furred hybrid fox form and looks at him.

It is my ball, kitsune. Even for another one-tail, how is it you know so little?

Karsen sticks his tongue out at her.

"I've never known what it was or what it did though."

Karsen hmms and orders himself another drink and muffin, before looking back at Aimi.

Aimi nudges her player to type even if it means Dorito crumbs on the keyboard.

It is your spirit-ball. You use it to distract your prey... It's also soothing to hear it roll around on wood or stone.

She shakes her head. Then she grins at the invitation

Karsen realises something, but dismisses it and orders a Bamhacon for her. The drink, muffin and Bamhacon arrive and Karsen passes the Bamhacon to her. As he sips his Dragon's Fire Breath quietly.

Lycande, Baeleck and Ashgork are released from dead time.

Karaki... or is it Karsen... nope Karaki wakes up too and smiles to Lycande, then looks at Karsen.

"Our player is going to be ever so slightly confused."

"Oh yeah. His fault."

Karsen grins and eats some of his muffin as Karaki looks back at Lycande.

Aimi nibbles the bamhacon and gets a refil of her wine. She still seems torn between amusement and apprehension.

Baeleck nods back to Who.
"Not bad. Got caught up in trying to stop some Drow from using a magical stone to release their god on the material plane, dooming all life, but other than that, it's been pretty uneventful for me."
Lycande gives Karaki a smile before going to sip her hot chocolate. When she realises it's stone cold, she sighs and puts it down.

Bealeck just gives a bit of a chuckle.
"Things always seem to be so hectic around here. For me, anyway."

Aeri and Nazgul enter the tavern hand in hand and goes to sit at a table a bit in the background. Aeri orders a glass of Chimera Cabernet while leaning against Nazgul a bit and looking around the tavern.

It was pleasant meeting you, Karsen.

She shifts back to human form and saunters out of the tavern.

Bealeck turns a head as Nazgul and Aeri enter, but then turns back to Who and Ashgork.
"You were a kobold once?!?!"

Yes but then I was killed and when I regenerated I was as I am now

Karsen watches her go, hmms, and shifts to elf form.

Karaki looks at her and smiles.

Baeleck quirks an eyebrow.
"Don't you mean resurrected?"

Lycande looks up at Karaki, then at Karsen.

Nope I mean regenerated, it's what my people do when their body's wear out or die

{elven}"Karsen. He's a defender of Inari. He 'works' at the temple."

Ashgork gives Baeleck a confused look.
"Don't worry, you'll meet a lot of strange people around here."

Karaki smiles.

[Baeleck]

{Elven} "Baeleck told me about them. Apparently Inari is quite popular around here, even I've seen the temple."

Karaki nodds.

{Elven}"I've only seen her likeness, but sometimes she, or her avatars, manifest here." He smiles. {Elven}"I don't worship her myself. I don't worship anyone really, but her priests are always friendly and helpful."

[Baeleck]

{Elven} "Yeah, I remeber Elune saying about that halfling that got clobbered by tentacles which you took there. Baeleck said that his mephits almost had to pay them lots of money for resurrections here, though."

[Exachix]

Karaki nodds.

{Elven}"They are kindly, but I suppose they need some income."

Karsen looks over and laughs.

{Elven}"Sometimes that happens."

Karaki looks over in shock as Karsen sips his drink, shifts to fox form and curls up in a corner, going to sleep.

Lycande gives a bit of a giggle again, then relaxes more into Karaki. She then seems to be lost in thought for a moment.

Karaki smiles and looks at her.

Lycande suddenly has an expression of curiosity on her face.
{Elven} "Do you remember what that halfling looked like?"

Karaki hmms.

{Elven}"Yellowy, With a mask."

[Baeleck]

Lycande snaps her fingers.
{Elven} The one in Elune's vision..."

Karaki blinks and looks at her.

{Elven}"Are you saying the halfling was the one who knew where the phoenix stone was?"

[Baeleck]

{Elven} "Yes... they tortured him to tell them where it..."
She pauses again.
{Elven} "His staff! That's right! The stone was in his staff!"

Karaki hmms.

{Elven}"Oh."

[Baeleck]

{Elven} "If only..."
She stops, shaking her head.
{Elven} "Why am I worrying about this so much? It's Elune's problem..."

Karaki looks at her and sighs.

{Elven}"However, she is your sister, if it's this bad won't she need help? Besides, they already know your here, why not go after you?"

[Baeleck]

{Elven} "True, but she shouldn't need my help. She was the one who was given all the powers to stop them, and it's not my fault that me and Fen got involved!"
It's apparent that she is still angry about her animal companion's death, and also jealous of Elune.

Karaki rubs her shoulder with his still wrapped arm.

Lycande gives a shallow sigh as Karaki rubs her shoulder.

Nazgul tries to steal a sip from Aeri's drink.

Aeri grins at him and pulls her drink away playfully

Lycande looks round the tavern at the rest of the patrons, barely recognising any of them other than Baeleck and Ashgork. She sighs. I shouldn't be here... she thinks to herself.

Nazgul pulls it back and grins, before breaking off a bit and offering it over.

Karaki hmms and looks at the table.

The table appears normal.

Lycande rubs her head on Karaki's shoulder a bit, trying to smile a bit.

Karaki leans his head on hers, for a few seconds, then looks at her.

{Elven}"What's the matter?"

[Deadly]

Aeri grins and takes it, tasting it Not that bad.

{Elven} "This place still feels so strange to me... so confusing."

Karaki sighs.

{Elven}"This is a weird place. Don't worry about it though."

Nazgul nods. Pretty good, considering it's tavern food.

She looks up at him, then back across the tavern.
{Elven} "I barely know anyone here. And even some the people I have met aren't all they seem..."

Karaki smiles.

Lycande looks a bit suprised.
{Elven} "Really? But I thought you've lived here most of your life..."

Aeri smiles and nods I'm normally not too fond of such foods, though. Fish is more my style. she smiles and sips her drink

Nazgul nods. I agree, I do enjoy fish.

Aeri grins Back home it's almost the only thing people eat, since almost everyone live by the water.

Aeri sighs and thinks First I need to see the counsil. Only once that is done can we focus on the wedding. We can find plenty of help back home with preparations and everything. I've never planned a wedding, so I guess asking people who have for help is a good idea.

Karaki smiles and blushes slightly.

That would be wonderful. Nazgul wraps Aeri in a hug and kisses her.

Aeri smiles and returns the kiss Then we'll do that.

She bites her lip whilst giving a kind of cheeky smile.

[Nevrmore]

Plot sits in his corner, a mountain of empty beer mugs surrounding him.

"You know...back in my day you weren't appreciated...unless you could stack beer cans TO THE HEAVENS!" He shouts. This is obviously not true, however, since he only became a human three days ago.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul keeps smiling.

[Baeleck]

Ashgork and Baeleck give Plot an odd look, wheras Lycande just ignores him.

{Elven}"Really?" He replies in a skeptical voice before kissing her again.

[Deadly]

Aeri rests her head on Nazgul's shoulder and sighs happily

[Nevrmore]

Just to punctuate his last point, Plot snaps his fingers, causing all the beer cans to float over and start stacking on top of each other. As soon as they reached the ceiling, they poofed right through it and continued on into the clouds.

"That one's for you, Conty! I miss you so!" He sobs.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul continues eating the bamhacon, thinking.

[Baeleck]

Lycande just nods, recieving the kiss and returning it passionatley.

Ashgork tilts his head at Plot, looking up at the stacked glasses.

Karaki closes his eyes as they kiss.

Aeri watches him with a smile

Lycande twists her head back and forth a bit as their lips press together.

Nazgul eats thoughtfully.

[Deadly]

Karaki mmms and keeps his eyes shut, enjoying the moment.

How much I love you and can't wait for this weekend... Nazgul grins.

Aeri grins and kisses him I love you too, and I can't wait either.

Lycande reluctantly draws out of the kiss, smiling from pointed ear to pointed ear.

Karaki smiles at her.

Nazgul smiles and returns the kiss.

Lycande just sighs, running a hand through Karaki's hair.

Aeri smiles and leans against him with a happy sigh

Nazgul puts his arm around her and smiles.

Karaki smiles and moves a hand to stroke her hair.

Plot, growing annoyed at all the public displays of affection, angrily swipes at his impossibly tall stack of beer mugs, causing them all the come crashing down with several loud shatters.

Inexplicably, a large mass of creamed corn pops into existence and begins to hover towards the lovers ominously.

((YES! The creamed corn BEGINS!))

*pop* Rathe appears ((everyone dies(not really))) in the tavern.

Interesting, creamed corn, seems to be floating well I'll just see how this develops then...

Karaki sighs and casts Gust of wind to move them/it away.

Rathe readies an action.

Hmm, well thats interesting, but no hostile actions as of yet so I'll just wait some more.

[Rebonack]

The mass of bloated grass seeds make in interesting gurgling sound as it prepares to descend upon the next pair of people who make oral contact.

The sudden gust shoves the blob against the back wall of the tavern with a resounding splat.

[Nevrmore]

Plot casts his own Gust of Wind to budge the creamed corn back towards them.

"What about me, huh?!" He asks, his voice slurred, "Why can't I find true love? Just because I ain't got no face and am an abstract concept doesn't mean I don't like affection!"

[Exachix]

Karaki sighs and hmms.

"Methinks Rebonack is an idiot."

Well, strange but it's not breaking any laws yet. Doesn't mean I'm not fully prepared to turn it into popcorn.

[Rebonack]

The corn ooze goes sailing back across the room, a contrail of wet kernels showering the tavern patrons as it goes.

Sorry folks, thats just how it moves and we have to respect its right to live and translocate itself regardless of how offensive it may be.

Karaki sighs and casts Floating disk so nothing falls on them.

Lycande eyes the creamed corn ooze carefully.
{Elven} "Not really, but going home sounds like a good idea to me."

Karaki smiles and stands, holding a hand so that Lycande can stand up.

Rathe picks up the kernels off the disk and puts them in a bowl.

Rathe manifests psionic tounges

Sir, you dropped these.

Rathe presents the bowl to the cream corn creature.

The corn ooze gratefully retrieves its pieces of lost mass.

Seeing that it has managed to ruin 'the mood' as per its summoning orders it is dismissed. Apparently back to the elemental plane of corn or something.

[Baeleck]

Lycande gets to her feet, looking angrily over at Plot.
"I'm sorry to hear that no-one shows you affection, but it doesn't mean you have to go and ruin everyone else's evening. If it's so awful, being alone, go do something about it instead of moping around here."
She heads with Karaki to the door.

[Kyrian]

Nazgul kisses Aeri's cheek and finishes off the bamhacon.

[Exachix]

Karaki follows her and holds the door open for her to leave with him.

[Rebonack]

The corn ooze suddenly slurps back into existence, now in a foul mood that it has been summoned twice in such short order.

It then decides to make a show of just how foul its mood is.

With an audible 'pitoee' it hurls part of its creamy mass as Nazgul.

[Baeleck]

Lycande heads out and waits for him outside.

[Nevrmore]

Plot makes several unpleasant noises that sort of mimic the sounds Lycande was making when she launched off at Plot. "Pffft, that was you." He says afterwards, indicating that he was indeed imitating Lycande.

[Exachix]

Karaki follows.

"Look out freinds. It doesn't like affection or kisses or stuff. I think it's a bit silly really." He's talking to Aeri and Nazgul.

Baeleck glances over at Plot, a small frown on his face, but says nothing.

District appears, tap dancing upside down in space and giggling at the mass of creamed corn.

The ooze gurgles contentedly and launches another blob of corn at the half-dragon.

Ashgork rolls his eyes, groaning.
"Is it always this random?"
"Afraid so. Get used to it."
Baeleck pauses for a moment.
"Let's get going back now."
He leaves in his regular manner - via portal.

Fox-Karsen wakes as a cloaked man enters trogs; his hood up so his face is obscured. Karsen shifts to elf, orders two ales and motions for the man to come over. The cloaked man does so and they both sit in a dark corner, conversing with each other in hushed wispers

Aeri sighs and casts SEP on the ooze, then turns to Nazgul Want to go someplace nice? It doesn't seem like Libris is around today anyway.

Plot occupies himself with drawing a crude woman's face on his hand with a magic marker he pulled out of space.

District watches with mild fascination as Plot does so.

The little girl finally exhausts her breath and returns to the man, leaving a relieved Nina alone. The man smiles tensly and whispers in her ear. Don't talk to strangers when I'm asleep, okay? You might get hurt. The little girl frowns for a second, but nods and begins to eat, humming in the somewhat irritating/cute way that only little girls can. The man drums his fingers against the table and glances around.

[Nevrmore]

Grom the gorilla walks up to the man and his daughter(?) and tries to stroke the little girl's head.

"How adddddddd*Bzzzt*orable."

The man's hand immediatly reaches out to grab her shoulder. The girl ignores him and beams up at Grom. Hi! What's wrong with your voice? She asks in perfect obliviousness to the rudeness of her question. You talk funny. The man sighs and clenches her shoulder tighter. Lakshmi, that's rude. The girl ignores him again and continues to smile up at Grom.

Yea, that sounds good. Where to?

[Nevrmore]

"My voice? Is there a prrrrrrrr*Zzzzzt*oblem with it?"

[Deadly]

Aeri smiles and thinks The beach, or maybe the restaurant?

Restaurant sounds good.

Aeri smiles and nods Restaurant it is then, my love.

Nazgul gets up and picks Aeri up with a smile.

No, but it's weird. The girl shrugs and continues to smile. What's your name? Mine's Lakshmi. My brother says that I was named after this really cool goddess and... she starts to talk very fast and excitedly. The man gives a slightly strained smile.

Aeri smiles and wraps her arms around his neck

Nazgul carries her from the tavern.

"Name? Well, some call me 'Grom'. You can caaaaaa*Zzzt*ll me that if you liiiiiiii*Bzzt*ke."

That's a cool name! Lakshmi says happily. The man rolls his eyes and sits back, releasing her shoulder, but watching Grom suspiciously.

The door creaks as it opens the tiniest fraction, and someone's eye can be seen peering through the crack. A moment, later Hathorne Jekyll pushes open the door and enters. He looks around the room in a paranoid manner, his hands shaking slightly. He then makes his way over to an empty table and sits down, sighing as he inspects his dirty peasant's clothing.

"Really? I'm not tooooooo*Zzzzt* fond of it, myself, but it is better than nothing."

[Uberblah]

Atokad awakes from dead time and so does Conrad. Atok decides to go on patrol for a bit and leaves. Conrad wakes up and groans. He asks Paige to get him some sort of painkiller and a glass of water. She does so and he tips her generously. He pops the pills into his mouth and then washes them down with the water.

You could change it. Lakshmi points out. We had to change our names once, when- She is temporarily silenced by a look from the man. But it would be funny to not have a name.

"I was only given my name jussssssss*Bzzzzt*t last night."

Hathorne sits at his table, attempting to make himself as unnoticeable as possible. And failing miserably, as he stares worriedly at various patrons.

Who gave it to you? Lakshmi asks. The man's eyes travel around the tavern and alight on Hathorne briefly.

[Nevrmore]

"A strange winged chap."

[Obsidian Blade]

There are people with wings here? Lakshmi's face lights up with delight. Gabe, let's go see the winged people! She tugs at his arm a little.
Maybe later, Lucki... there are a lot of things you need to see here.

Hathorne shrinks away a little bit as the man's eyes fall upon him.

Conrad is consumed by dead time.

Hathorne suddenly runs out of the tavern, flailing his arms above his head and screaming.

Maph'tey suddenly awakens with a start.

The corn ooze has long since vanished.

The man watches Hawthorne leave idly while Lakshmi hums happily to herself and looks around the tavern.

[Rebonack]

She may notice that Maph'tey has wings.

Oddly colored too.

[Obsidian Blade]

Lakshmi catches sight of Maph'tey and skips over to him before her brother can catch her. He sits a table closer as she bounces over and looks longingly at his wings. Where did you get those? They're so beautiful!

[Rebonack]

Maph'tey glances down at the girl, looking somewhat uncomfortable at this line of questioning.

"Well... I was born with them," he flexes the appendages around so they're flat against his back and slightly less conspicuous.
