How have people reflavoured the rogue's "thieve's cant" language thingie for rogue characters that aren't part of thief or assassin guilds?

My rogue/bard has "Plausible Deniability" I can ask questions looking for illicit good/services/information and only get negative effects of a failed roll on a critical failure. This is only usable once on each topic, in each area, each month.

This is basically how we play Theives Cant anyway, we make it about knowing how to act around lowlifes and scoundrels, not about a specific language. How to not come off a cop to crims, how to not come off as a crim to cops.

Could always replace it with Planar Cant and have the thief be the translator for the clueless Primes of the party when in Sigil.

Have you ever seen Airplane, with the dude who speaks Jive, and the lady who's translating for him? That's how I've always pictured it: Slang so thick that it's incomprehensible to anyone who didn't grow up with it.

It would also include those hand signals that special forces use to communicate on a mission, when they need to be silent, or something very much like them.

Planar Cant: Oi, you mark that cutter Ford Prefect? That canny blood's one well-lanned planewalker.
Spelljammer Cant: Hey, you sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is.
