Ive googled this and i find differing answers usually coming down to house rules but...
If a creature has Spell resistance does is also have Power resistance of the same value?
Also if you gain one of these from an item will you have the other one as well?
cheers

Under the assumed magic-psionic transparency rules found in the Expanded Psionic Handbook, SR=PR.

Depends on whether psioncs-magic transparency is in effect. If it is in effect, Then the answers are "not quite". You'd only have one statistics (the power or spell resistance), but it would work against both powers and spells (which is pedantically different from having both spell and power resistance).

If the transparency is not in effect, the answer is "no".

Yes - this is covered under Psionics-Magic Transparency, which is the default rule:

Combining Psionic And Magical Effects
The default rule for the interaction of psionics and magic is simple: Powers interact with spells and spells interact with powers in the same way a spell or normal spell-like ability interacts with another spell or spell-like ability. This is known as psionics-magic transparency.
...
Spell resistance is effective against powers, using the same mechanics. Likewise, power resistance is effective against spells, using the same mechanics as spell resistance. If a creature has one kind of resistance, it is assumed to have the other. (The effects have similar ends despite having been brought about by different means.)

The default in 3.5 is that they are equal and both present even when not stated.

The Expanded Psionics Handbook does state optional alternatives to this rule that people easily confuse as the default.

Each group will have their own preferences.
