I'm going to Swedenrock, the 2nd largest European anual heavy rock and metal happening.
Anyone else from the Gitp-forum going there?
Any other festivals you intend to visit?

I'm hopefully going to Cambridge again but they don't sell tickets until may.

I get to go to Download (http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/home/index.aspx) and Glastonbury (http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/) this year.

OMG I can't wait for Download

Hopefully I'm going to see Fairport Convention at Cropredy this year, just as I have for about the last decade, except this time paying instead of working for entry.

On the plus side, it means more time to listen to the music and not have to deal with drunk and/or irritated campers all day.

On the downside, I'll be paying ~£100 for the privillege.

Well I'm going to Sundown in the City tomorrow; a free festival held by our city that has a show once or twice a week for a couple months.

Tomorrow is George Thorogood, I can't wait

Cornerstone Festival (http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/), and that's really all I'm allowed to say about that.

I'm going to Wacken in August, and I'll also likely spend plenty of time at th Montreal Jazz Festival.

It's not the same thing that you're asking, but my high school band just got back from playing at a festival in Florida. Sadly there were only two other bands, so it was more just for the trip than for competition.

Cropredy/Fairport Convention. Not because I like folk music, but because I'm working at it.

I will be playing and teaching at the Midwestern Heart Family Dance Week (http://www.shelllakeartscenter.org/midwestern_heart_family_dance_week_) up in Wisconsin this August. Teaching people to play banjo is about the only thing that could possibly force me to miss GenCon, but there it is.

I have intentions of catching The White Stripes when they go back on tour after releasing "Icky Thump". If I could breathe, I'd like to go to Bonnaroo.... but then I'd probably fail a drug test from contact buzz......

I have yet to check the line-up at Belle Chere in Asheville the last weekend in July, but they have some pretty good shows. That and it's hard to beat 5 stages of music for 4 days... :smalltongue:

I wish I could go to Download, but that's not really an option for someone living out here in North Carolina at the corner of No and Where.

I am, however, going to several concerts and festivals. I'm going to see TOOL some time in June, and that should be cool. Also, for all you '80s fans out there, Def Leppard, Styx, and Foreigner are all touring together this summer, and I'm going to see them when they make it to Raleigh or somewhere close.

Also, Ozzfest is totally free this year, and it promises to be pretty good. I'm excited - Ozzy, Lordi, Lamb of God, and several more artists are all gonna be there.

I want to go but my silly family is on holiday at that time so I can't! :smallfrown:
Saw them play at a gig last night though, that was awesome.
