Okay so I plan on running a Star Wars Saga Edition campaign set in the Legacy Era after Luke founds the New Jedi Order and I'd like to keep it as close to the lore as possible. Does anyone have any advice on running a Star Wars campaign? Like some stuff to avoid and ****
The party is gonna be two Jedi, a Mandalorian and an Astromech Droid and I'd like to give everyone something important and not have anyone hog all the spotlight

First off, you should really look at the Order 66 Podcast (the Saga Edition . . . edition), and especially at the Era Prone Episode (that's the title, but I forget the episode number). Also, the EotE edition of the 'cast had an episode on how to incorporate the canon into your campaign, which might be interesting to you. And, above all, listen to The List episode of the SWSE version -- it gives encounter building advice that should be mandatory for all Star Wars (maybe all d20 system) GMs, in my not-so-humble opinion.
Stuff to avoid: low-level Jedi with Skill Focus (Use the Force) spring to mind, but aside from that . . . well, just remember that it's Star Wars. Don't get too bogged down in the standard DnD/d20 mindset; go for the Rule of Cool.

Rule of Cool seems to be the way I'm gonna go for this

Don't get hung up on staying cannon. Little changes to the stories can spin of into wildly different directions. And if you make a change to the cannon they couldn't/shouldn't know about it can make for a memorable surprise.

fortunately for me none of my players are very familiar with the Legacy era and I plan to only have loosely follow the Expanded Universe canon since the new movie is gonna change so much canon next year
it also helps that the players are gonna be doing stuff in place that don't match up with pre-established lore
