Hi Playground,

1) As I'm sure you're mostly aware, a Portable Hole with a Bag of Holding in it results in a 10ft rift to the Astral Plane, causing massive damage and potentially transporting enemies away.

2) This has resulted in attempts to harness this effect, including this design for an arrowhead. http://www.thelonelyd12.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/superweapon_arrowhead.gif

My question is this, if someone was to cast Dimensional Anchor on a suitably large creature (Say a Mountain Giant for arguements sake), then such an arrow was fired at said beasty, would it have any effect, directly or indirectly?

Would the rift pop up next to them, suck in everything next to it or simply fail to deploy?

If the creature was medium sized, would they be immune to the (direct) effects of the astral rift, or would they still be taken in?

Thanks,

DK

Dimensional anchor saves the target. Just like casting fireball at something with fire immunity.

Effect still goes off, just doesn't hit him.

Suspected something to that effect. Thanks
