In the currently level 17 mythic tier 3 campaign I'm in I was thinking of playing a blight (archetype) druid and either going with a scorpion familiar or taking the destruction domain. I was wondering on the account that its a class feature I'm not found of, if its possible to trade away wild shape for anything or how you'd build a druid that doesn't use it? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't find anything but maybe ... ask your DM for channel negative energy? Maybe you can pitch in animate dead via Death domain somehow and create shambling bog monsters. Command Undead and voilá, you twist the fact of undead being out of the circle of life by introducing them as predators to the ecosystem to purge the weak creatures.

What dies by your hand becomes undead, what lives has adapted well enough.

d20pfsrd.com has a handy table for each class which lists archetypes and what they replace, e.g. here (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/druid#TOC-Archetypes-Alternate-Class-Features) for the Druid. It seems the only archetypes that trade away Wild Shape are Nature Fang (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/druid/archetypes/paizo---druid-archetypes/nature-fang) and Feral Child (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/core-races/human/feral-child-druid-human) (humans only), and neither of those can be combined with Blight Druid (by RAW, so you may be able to work something out with your DM). I'm not aware of any other generic options to trade away Wild Shape.

You could also ask your DM if you're allowed to port one of the 3.5 ACFs that trade out Wild Shape. (Since those don't really exist in that way in PF afaik).
Some of them are available online if you don't have the books, like the "Swift & Deadly Hunter" (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#druid) variant from UA.

Also, negative energy is a force of nature. It's a common misconception that Druids must respect "life and death" as being the natural order, when several absolutely natural forces can delay or even stop it.

Can one turn into vermin with wildshape outside the spells? Or is it possible to add the skeletal or undead templates to it like in 3.5? Like I know I could have a scorpion familiar and user vermin empathy, but I see on use for it with my own familiar.

Prerequisites : level 5 druid, non-good, Child of Winter
Allows change into small and medium vermin later, also tiny, large etc.
