Reserves of Strength + Veil of Undeath

Is it just me, or if you increase your CL via Reserves of Strength while you are under the effect of Veil of Undeath, you would gain HP?

Nope, you still lose it. Veil of undeath only makes Inflict spells heal you, no other source of damage.

No. If you enhance a spell with Reserves of Strength, it either stuns you or (if you're immune to stunning) deals damage to you. Since you count as gain many but not all the traits of the undead type while under the effects of "Veil of Undeath", you heal damage only if [S]you take negative energy damage via an Inflict Wounds spell. The damage dealt to you by Reserves of Strength is untyped, and undead are not healed by untyped damage.
