The Hospital (Now Hiring)

The Hospital is a large white building with a statue of both Ekrath and Saito Jaishan on the top. It has a large dome on the top as well. Inside it is quite spacious and has three floors. It also serves as Ekrath's temple.


1st floor

Operating rooms: Large rooms with many different medical tools.
ER: The room reserved for patients in critical condition.
Ekrath's office: Ekrath's office. It is full of various medical journals and magic items.
Other offices: Offices for NPC and PC workers.
Lobby: Main room. The secretaries and interns are found here.


2nd floor

Shrine: The prayer room where Ekrath's clerics gather
Employee Lounge: Clerics and Doctors alike can hang out here.
The Mystic Closet: Who knows what lies in the mystic closet?


3rd floor

Main prayer room: Only senior clerics are allowed here.
Ekrath's R&R room: When Ekrath needs to relax, he comes here.
The Vault: Ekrath keeps medical journals and studies here. Most illnesses can be found here.
The Loft: Only Ekrath's best friends are allowed in the Loft. The Loft is acually Ekrath's demiplane.


PC employees
Ekrath: Main Doctor.
Therun: Winged angel of healing. Intern
Aakor: Paladin and Postmortem Counsellor, intern.


NPC employees
Crystal: A young Elven woman who is the secretary.
Jackson: A smart Human man. He's rude and rash, but is a great intern.
Kylance: A brilliant intern who works hard. He has fiendish blood (Tiefling) but has proved time and time again his dedication to good. He seeks Ekrath's approval on everything.
Naia:A quiet human woman. Intern.
Torius: A young elven cleric of Ekrath.
Nathan: An elder human cleric of Ekrath.

Ekrath enters and sits in the lobby, reading a journal.

Aakor stumbles into the hospital. The undead man walks up to the lobby and leans on the desk.
I heard you're looking for employees? I happen to be a qualified healer, and I would like to take residence here, if that's possible

Therun stumplies in, and asks if he can join the staff, being a paladin with healing abilities and all

The secratery asks them if they have any experiance.

Theruns reply indicates he hasent actly healed anybody, but would like to try to learn. He also can heal people using the power of his deity, but from nothing else.

The secretary opens a door to an operating room with Kylance and Jackson inside working on a patient.
New guy? He'll just kill the guy.
Oh shut up. Welcome. Come help us out.

Okay, what can I do? he appers tentative

Stay out of my way.
Ignore him. So here's what we know. The patient has suffered from a type of poison, but his symptoms don't indidcate poison. Ideas?

How do we know its poison? And If it is, can we cure it?

Well his only wound is a crossbow bolt. But crossbow bolts don't usually cause Feeblemind. As for curing it, we don't use spells much. If a patient died they will be ressurected but interns are forbidden to use spells. All skill.

Hmm, are we sure the crossbow did it? not something else?

No but Ekrath scanned him. It's not magical and the bolt is the only explaination.

Hmmm, do you two know any poisens that cause feebl-mindedness?

They both shake their head.
Well it could be a combination of poisons that cause INT damage.

I'd say cut the circulation to the rest of his body and and leeches to his leg to get rid of some of the blood.

I have some past experience. Plenty, actually, I've been around for a while. I could simply cast cure poison on this patient if you like?

Therun takes a cord of wire and wraps it tightly around the man's leg and takes some leeches from a cabinet. This should help. I hope

Aakor casts cure poison on the man.
Will he be okay?

The leeches manage to heal the man's Feeblemind and is fine.
Jackson turns to Aakor
No magic stupid! Interns can't use magic on patients.
He didn't know. Welcome to the hospital crew guys. You are both interns now. Do you want a special description on the employee list or just Intern?

Call me stupid one more time, and I'll show you some magic, stupid! Aakor's eyes flicker a spooky white and he continues in a somewhat different voice.
You can put us in the employee list as a paladin and postmortem counsellor, my dear man, but if I might ask, why is magic not allowed if it can help people? Surely, that does not seem entirely reasonable

Well it is for main doctors. You see interns handle lesser problems and therefor are expected to rely on skill more than magic. If a patient died, Ekrath would ressurect him though.

Hence I could not possibly be hired as an intern, no? That would be power gone to waste!

Therun slaps dead time in the face before turning. Just paladin and apprentice healer please.

Aakor walks in and sits down in the corner, then he starts talking to himself in different voices. It's quite creepy.
