There is some debate as to V's barred schools, we know conjuration, and it seems to be widely accepted as necromancy, but has V ever cast an illusion?

It has also been mentioned that V, at one point, tutored Elan in how to cast better bard illusions, suggesting V has experience in the area. (The whole rescue-the-dirt farmer bit back in # 211 through #222; Elan used an actually effective Disguise Self spell in #217)

V has never used Conjuration. She offered Zz'dtri a Vampiric Touch spell, which is necromancy. She casts Invisibility Sphere, an illusion spell, in the Dungeon of Dorukan. Her specialty is obviously Evocation. Explosive Runes is an abjuration. She used Identify, a divination. Divination can't be chosen as a forbidden school anyway. She uses Bull's Strength on Roy (transmutation). Universal cannot be selected as specialty or forbidden. She uses Suggestion as an enchantment.

It is my theory that she only has one forbidden school-Conjuration-because she forgot to pick another one after being converted to Version 3.5.

No, because V has explicitly said that Conjuration is one of his barred schools--it was the reason he wasn't able to cast Teleport himself to get the party over to Cliffport.

He/She was already casted spells from Abjuration, Divination, Enchantment, Evocation, Illusion, and Transmutation...

So if he/she barred two schools, they must be Conjuration and Necromancy.

If V's second barred school is necromancy, as seems to be fairly widely accepted, he/she could have learned vampiric touch before being converted to 3.5. If at any time you gain a new prohibited school (I.E. the red wizard prestige class) you get to keep any spells from the school learned prior to choosing the barred school.

V could also be a diviner, then conjuration is the only barred school

She might've gotten Vampiric Touch from one of those spell Booster Packs.

Alternately, the reason that the Invisibility Sphere variant she had was so limited was because it was a weird variant that had a different school. Perhaps a Transmutation!
