If a Caster in this case a wizard casts a spell can he then cast a quickened spell after it or does the quickened spell always have to be cast first?
The reason this is important is the spell i was looking at casting 'quickened' has a duration of concentration.
You can not concentrate on two spells at once so you would need to cast the non quickened spell first and then the quickened one. I was just wondering if that is possible?

Most swift actions are used to buff the following action. That's why they're mostly used first thing on your turn. Of course you can use a quickened spell after your standard action. Isn't that even standard practice? See if the enemy is terribly injured and still standing and fire a quickened damage spell to finish him off?

Reminds me of a certain OoTS comic.

Care to share? I can't remember any distinct joke in there.

It wasn't a joke, just a thing that happened (when Malack first encountered Nale at the palace IIRC).

Standard followed by Swift is in fact Vaarsuvius' (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0636.html) standard (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0638.html) operating (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0652.html) procedure. (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0792.html)

Order's not specified. Sort of like how you can take a move action and then a standard action, or a standard action and then a move action. You can put your swift wherever, as long as it's on your turn.

Yep, you can take them in any order - move, swift, standard, or move, standard, swift, or swift, standard, move, etc.

Sometimes it's advantageous to cast a (non-quickened but swift action, low level) spell as a decoy for anyone who readied actions to interrupt. If they don't have Spellcraft to identify the spell as a throw-away, they'll make you lose the useless spell and then you blow them up with the real one for the turn.
