This lich would be going against the PCs, The PCs are 18th level so I want this lich to be a challenging (yet doable) fight. I was thinking of making a A shade (from races of Faerun) wizard level 15, now would that mean the CR of the lich would be 23? 15+Shade LA 4+lich template 4=23. Would that then be considered an epic monster? Is this too much for the party?
