Charging Smite ACF and Devastating Smite Spell

Does the Devastating smite spell from the Forge of war also double the damage from the Charging Smite alternate class feature in PHB2?

It should, but this is one of those cases where 2x2=3.

Reviewed the wording. Charging Smite is a bonus to the attack's damage, not an increase to the smite damage itself.

The numbers functionally work out the same as 2x2=3 math in most cases, but if there's anything that specifically increases a paladin's level for Smiting (I'm not thinking of anything off-hand, but I'd wager one of the multiclass feats does), it will be doubled by the spell, but not increase the Charging smite boost.

What about other bonus's to smite damage such as the Sapphire Smite feat?
