Dismantler

There are few things a sufficiently cunning scoundrel cannot do. Breaking into elaborately guarded buildings, stealing priceless treasures, backstabbing the most mighty of foes–none are impossible for a rogue of resource and talent. But some things are simply beyond their rogue. A scoundrel’s worst enemy is one who won’t go down after you stab it in the back. Constructs, creatures of artifice and magic, fit this description perfectly. All the lucky hits and well-placed blows in the world can’t knock down a creature that has no vitals to strike at. That’s where Dismantlers come in. Dismantlers are rogues who use a combination of stealth and magic to take out magical constructs, using both blade and magic to bring down their foes.

Class Features
All the following are class features of the Dismantler prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
You gain no additional weapon or armor proficiencies.

Spellcasting
Whenever you gain an odd Dismantler level, you gain new spells/infusions per day and spells/infusions known as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting or infusion casting class you belonged to before you added the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.

Dismantling Strike (Su)
At 1st level, you gain the power to sneak attack constructs. As a swift action, you may expend a prepared spell or spell slot. If you do, then you gain the ability to deal sneak attack damage and critical hits to constructs for a number of rounds equal to the level of the spell or spell slot expended.

Sneak Attack (Ex)
At each even level, the sneak attack damage dealt when you attack a flanked opponent or an opponent that is denied its Dexterity bonus to AC increases by 1d6.

Stealthy Sunder (Ex)
At 3rd level, you gain Improved Sunder as a bonus feat. You do not need to meet the prerequisites for it. In addition, if you successfully attack an item held by a flanked creature or a creature denied its Dexterity bonus to AC while your dismantling strike ability is active, then you may deal sneak attack damage to that item.

Rusting Strike (Sp)
At 5th level, you can turn weapons and constructs to mere rust. Whenever you deal sneak attack damage to a construct or item with the dismantling strike ability, you may reduce the sneak attack damage dealt by 3d6. If you do, then that creature or item is turned to rust, as the rusting grasp spell, with caster level equal to your class level. In addition, a construct affected by this ability takes a -2 penalty to Strength and Dexterity for 10 rounds.

I like the idea of this prestige class, but I was somewhat disappointed that it relied on spellcasting. I'd say lose the good will save and the increased caster levels and let it be taken by a pure rogue. The way you have it set up now, the requirement for Inflict Light Damage is very specific. IMO, this PrC could be a lot more general. You might have to change it around a little, but I think it would be better if it wasn't fueled by spells.

What kind of Character do you envision as entering this Prestige Class?
