Advertising Demos/Playtest Editions

Is this acceptable even if it's a demo/PTE of something I eventually intend to make money from? The forum rules imply that "Commercial" advertising is only something that makes money in and of itself, but I just want to check.

Sheriff: Yes, if you're giving it away free that's fine. When it comes to advertising the final product for sale, you'll have to use Project Wonderful.
