Like prismatic spray or reincarnate.
Is there something that can set the result of such things?

The only way I know of to manipulate the result of a table is with a Craft (carpentry) check. :smallwink:

Not sure about setting it, but the Wild Mage can roll twice and take the one they like, at least.

Rather RAW cheesy, but one could argue that such spells can be maximized, giving you the last result on the table. In the case of Reincarnate, I recommend buying a pizza with your DM's choice of toppings to go with it, or whatever other form of bribery you think best.

Yeah but it takes a Psion friend with UMD and USP. 1 shot item of Reincarnate, 1 shot item of Time Regression (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/timeRegression.htm). Psion brings you back from the dead using Reincarnate, not the right form, activates Time Regression item and tries again until you get the form you like.

Nah, they're variable effects, but not numeric, in most cases.

You could possibly use a Wish, Miracle or maybe even Limited Wish to achieve this. The results would depend upon how you worded the Wish and your DM though.

Maybe act like everyone's friend, then when things go bad, convince them it's someone besides your own fault? Subtle manipulation.

For Reincarnation, Alter Fortune spell might be worth it. Wouldn't use it on a Prismatic Spray though.

Edit: There's also Luck domain, and the related Third Time's the Charm feat.

Chaos Gnome too. My group had a chaos gnome UMD the reincarnate wand.

Mantle of second chances, the luck domain power (planar touchstone, a level 5/10/15/20 wizard ACF, and various other means can provide access, it might even be possible to get it multiple times depending on the wording, third time's the charm feat, and the alter fortune spell would allow you to reroll the initial roll. An amulet of second chances would then allow you to redo the round where you triggered the 'table effect,' and get you a second try on all your initial roll and all your rerolls.

More generally, anything that either rewinds time or gives you a reroll without specifying what kind of roll.

I'd never noticed before that the Luck domain allows re-rolls of any roll, not just d20s. Interesting.
