I've been looking at two things: The weapon known as the "crescent knife" and the spell "moon blade". I began to wonder if they could be combined into a single magic weapon.
I figure the new magic weapon would function as a standard +N crescent knife until the magic is activated. At that point the blade would vanish, to be replaced with an identical blade made of moonlight. It would follow the same damage rules as the spell.
It would last for a set number of rounds or minutes per day, on a round by round basis.
Am I wrong in thinking this possible?
Any other comments or thoughts would be appreciated.
