Favored Oath
Blah blah blah stuff about favored souls getting better casting due to native whatever like the favored soul of old/sorcerer of new.
Half casters tend to get a new spell level per 4 levels, while full casters get a new level every 2 levels and max out at around level 16.
So for a 3/4 caster we will do every 2.5 levels round down when reuslts needed but still carrying the number

7 - 3
9 - 4
12 -5
15- 6
18 - 7
As you see from the result you get faster progression while being able to keep the math the same, considering paladins don't get spells until level 2.
3rd, gain access to 1 cantrip per 4 levels after level 3
Have access to ritual spells
7th Expanded spell list, you gain access to the core cleric spell list
Gain access to one or two metamegic effects from the sorcery spend channel divinity points to use this ability
15th
Expend a spell level to increase a melee strike damage
20th

So it is glaringly ugly and inelegant but it sort of gets where am going with this 3/4 casting idea.
