Viability of a Notumancer build

Is Wu Jen a good basis for a Noctumancer build? The trump card of the build would probably be Body Outside Body, having all my clones casting everything but my three highest levels of mysteries. But Wu Jen has a lot of cool features that come later in the class, so I'm just curious.

It's fine, I guess. Downgrading from Wizard to Wu Jen for Noctumancer isn't going to be much worse than downgrading from Wizard to Wu Jen as a single-classed character.

What makes it worse than a wizard? Has good class features, and a few good unique spells.
