Hello hello hello!

Previous thread: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?326749-Broodhollow&highlight=broodhollow

Broodhollow (http://broodhollow.chainsawsuit.com/page/2012/10/06/book-1-curious-little-thing/) is a horror comic about ghosts and mental disorders. It is written by Kris Straub, author of Candle Cove (http://ichorfalls.chainsawsuit.com/) and Chainsawsuit (http://chainsawsuit.com/). Kris has also been blessed with a fanbase almost as witty as he is, to the point where reading the comment sections can often give you a second joke (or more). To anyone new to his work, I highly recommend checking what the top-rated comment is on each page.

Broodhollow has completed two chapters thus far, and in the wake of a successful Kickstarter to get the latest one made into a book, a new chapter in the tale of Wadsworth Zane has begun to unfold.

Finally, a new chapter. I wonder what poor Wadsworth will go through now.

That childrens' play about a king who wore only gold sounds so cute! Um. Wait (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_King_in_Yellow).

"That many-armed sweater may be of use one day" is the most hilariously ominous sentence I've ever read. I really hope that's foreshadowing.

Oh good! I had lost track of broodhollow and feared it forever lost. Thanks for this new thread!

Welcome to Broodhollow! Never mind the Eldritch horrors living below the town. You kinda get used to them, and they'll hardly cross your mind.

Well, I had gotten pretty far behind, but now I'm all caught up again, and WOW.. what the heck happened?? Did Wadsworth forget everything again, or has he just dealt with it all and now feels fine?
Is he best buds with Monseuir Cadavre now, or has he forgotten him?
The local Lodge symbol being found on that temple below the waters can't be a good thing. Or can it?
Man, I wish the updates came faster!!

The local Lodge symbol being found on that temple below the waters can't be a good thing. Or can it?

It seems that whatever happened after the great dive, the three of them managed to keep their memories by acting as each others' hems, each remembering details the other two forget.

As for the underwater cave where the brood of insects was living (a "brood-hollow," one might say) having a symbol very much like that for the Society of the Scull and Shovels, this latest page sheds some light on possible meanings. The Skull and Shovels originally had a pair of crossed arrows instead of shovels. Crossed arrows are a Native American symbol for friendship. The inverted skull (or head or whatever it is) I can't find a direct correlation to any real-life symbols, but "any Native American symbols that were portrayed upside down signified that they had been killed."

So... this was originally a cult for forming friendships with the dead? Bonding with the dead? Making pacts with them? Definitely seems necromantic, whatever it was. And the Bower Brigade is JUST the shovels, right? So their only concern was staying united?

Sounds good to me. I hope Wadsworth has the gumption to mention all of this to the Lodge members and demand an explanation.

Not anymore! Zane sent 'em running! How very odd.

I bet it's something behind him. Also, he'll probably cheat at cards.
