As the topic says, how does the Grammaton archetype of the cryptic class use its Disrupt Pattern class feature?
This is a question that had been answered in the old Dreamscarred Press forums, but those forums are now inaccessible, even through the Wayback Machine.

Disrupt Pattern: The grammaton is only able to use the disrupt pattern ability when making ranged attacks with a handgun.
Does the Grammaton simply use a handgun as a “prop” for Disrupt Pattern?
Or does this function the same way as the Brutal Disruptor archetype’s Channeled Disruption, only with ranged attacks using handguns, thereby letting the damage from a firearm add to the damage of Disrupt Pattern?

Channeled Disruption: A 6th level brutal disruptor has learned to channel her disrupt pattern ability into her melee attacks. The brutal disruptor may use her disrupt pattern ability as part of any or all melee attacks she makes. This is an exception to the rule that disrupt pattern may only be used once per round. The brutal disruptor cannot use her disrupt pattern ability as a ranged attack in the same round that she has used it as part of a melee attack.
If the Grammaton’s Disrupt Pattern indeed adds to firearm attacks and damage rolls, then on a critical hit, is the basic 1d6+Intelligence modifier damage from Disrupt Pattern multiplied as it normally would be, or is it left untouched?
