I kind of wanted to make a homebrew weapon but I was wondering what a reasonable cost for it would be and what the damage on it would be, basically I want a custom weapon that is just a scythe similar to something like this ; http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz192/TANNENFAIR/Misery-1.png thanks in advance. :)

Looks like it could just be a renamed double-axe (and would thus be an exotic weapon). If you really want to x4 crit just step the damage die down one type, from 1d8/1d8 to 1d6/1d6.

Well, its certainly exotic.
I'm thinking like a dual-blade scythe. Low damage, but x4 crit.
Exact stats: Exotic two handed melee double weapon 2d2/2d2 damage (small) and 2d3/2d3 damage (medium), x4 crit, piercing or slashing, and would probably cost about 120 gold pieces and have a weight of 12 lb.
(Cost calculation Longsword=15, 2 bladed sword=100. 100/15=6.6667. Scythe cost=18, 6.66667x 18=120, the price of a 2 bladed scythe)

I'd probably want to simplify the damage to 1d4/1d4 and 1d6/1d6, just for less math (a d3 usually is just rolling a d6 and dividing by 2 anyways). That price and weight seems pretty accurate, though.

I kept the dice primarily because the normal scythe damage is 2d4 (rather than 1d8).

At a glance, I would say at least one, maybe two limbs...

Looks like a fancy gnome hooked hammer, with both sides being the hook end. I'd keep all the stats the same and have both sides do the 1d6 x4 damage side. I'd also swap the blade to the outside edge since you're probably just spinning that thing around your body.

I'm imagining someone holding it vertically and off to one side of their body, spinning it by a handle akin to one of these (http://studioefra.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/old-hand-drill-small.jpg).

My goodness, it's the Bi-Sickle from Munchkin 4: The Need for Steed.
